Summary

Danny Boyle’s terrifying upcoming zombie movie,28 Years Later, has recently released a brand-new image which teases what horror fans have in store for them when it releases this summer, but fans think that one hidden detail in the picture might include the brutal fate of a character. Directed by Oscar-winner Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and written by Alex Garland (Civil War),28 Years Laterstars a stellar trio of actors that include Golden Globe winner Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, who won a Primetime Emmy for her lead as the calculating Villanelle inKilling Eve, and Ralph Fiennes, who fans will known for his time as Voldemort in theHarry Potterfranchise.

Despite wild speculation that the “field zombie” in the first trailer for the film was Cillian Murphy, who played the character Murphy in28 Days Later, producer Andrew Macdonald confirmed that it wasn’t Cillian and, instead, Angus Neill, an extra on the film, and that fans unfortunately won’t see Cillian, but he is an executive producer on the film. Thefirst trailer for28 Years Latersaw a nail-biting series of creepy snippets from the movie that included savage zombies running down a hill, a mountain of skulls, and a scene where a zombie pops up out of a field behind Jodie Comer and now, in a bid to get fans even more hyped for the already highly anticipated film, a new image has emerged which shows Spike, Isla, the newborn baby and Dr. Kelson, but fans think they’ve spotted something even more sinister.

Fans Think Edvin Ryding Could Have a Gory Ending in 28 Years Later

In an exclusivefirst-look image from28 Years Laterahead of the movie’s theatrical premiere,ScreenRanthas shared a brand-new snap which shows off Jamie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), his 12-year-old son Spike (Alfie Williams), Dr. Kelson (Ralph Fiennes), and Isla (Jodie Comer), with a newborn baby being guided across a river via a man-made rope which acts as a security system from the rapid waters. However, something in Dr. Kelson’s hands has drawn eagle-eyed fans to a possible gruesome discovery.

In Kelson’s hands, it looks as though he is holding a severed head. While some viewers think that he might be carrying a zombie head, there doesn’t seem to be a solid reason why he would be carrying any old infected’s skull around, as it looks like he wants to protect it in some way. This has made fans come up with one conclusion: it belongs to soldier E. Sundqvist, played by Edvin Ryding, brought into the fray to help fight off the zombies. Fans also point out that the hair color of the severed head also seems to be the same blonde hair as Ryding’s. Given the nature of the movie, it wouldn’t be surprising if the soldier came in contact with another brutal gang or got munched on by an infected horde, and Kelson is delivering his head to the giant mountain of skulls seen in the film’s first trailer.
