One Piece Aren’t Happy About The Newest One Piece Episode
Luffy vs Kizaru Was Not What Fans Expected
As many fans know, the One Piece anime went on break for a very long time, 6 months to be specific. The wait was long, but the anime eventually returned in early April, and ever since then, each episode has caused some kind of controversy in the One Piece fandom. Most recently, the newest One Piece episode, One Piece 1126 saw the beginning ofthe battle between Luffy and Kizaru. This battle was one of the most anticipated to be animated, but many fans are unhappy about what Toei delivered, especially because this came after a 6-month break.
In this episode, Luffy employed both Gear 4, and then Gear 5 against Kizaru. Many fans were complaining about the animation quality provided, pointing out it used to look better before the break.
Another big complaint, if not bigger, is how drawn out everything is, and this one is somewhat understandable. This is especially an issue when the battle is against a man who moves at the speed of light. When the pacing is so bad, it makes the fight seem slower, which doesn’t do it justice.
The scene fans had the most issue with was ofLuffy grabbing Kizaru in Gear 5.In the manga, Luffy grabs him pretty much instantly, before Kizaru could see or react. Meanwhile, in the anime, Kizaru can see Luffy’s hand coming but doesn’t move. This is definitely an odd choice from Toei, but nothing new as the pacing of the One Piece anime has been an issue since forever. One Piecefans did hope that with the 6 months break, the pacing would improve as the gap between the anime and the manga increases, but it seems things haven’t changed much.
Will One Piece Episode 1127 Be Better?
One PieceEpisode 1127 will be out later this week, and will continue the battlebetween Kizaru and Luffy. The only thing fans can see to assess the quality is the preview, and from that, the episode looks absolutely sensational. Finally,One Piecelooks like it will deliver something that will hype up the fans, with big animators like Akihito Ota, Tu Yong-ce, Vincent Chansard, and many more taking part.
With all that in mind,One Piecefans should also remember that the episodes released right now were probably made before the break even began. Fans should also keep in mind to not harass animators or anyone working on these episodes as it isn’t their fault the quality isn’t matching their expectations. Animators are already very stressed and overworked as is in Japan.
