Solo Levelinghas become one of the most celebrated anime adaptations of a Korean Manhwa series. Its success has compelled other anime studios to pick up these action-packed and underrated stories from Korea. Studio A-Cat was the next to throw its hat into the mix with the anime adaptation ofThe Beginning After The End,which, sadly, didn’t land well with fansbecause of lazy and outdated animation.
The community thought thatTBATEcould be the next big thing afterSolo Leveling, and,of course, things didn’t go as many hoped; however, one upcoming anime adaptation of a Korean manhwa series could very well stand as tall asSolo Leveling.
Popular Korean Manhwa ‘Eleceed’ Is Reportedly Getting An Anime Adaptation
LikeSolo Leveling,EleceedIs An Action-Packed Story That Packs A Heavy Punch
Even after the negative reception aroundTBATE, the Japanese animation studios would still want to get their hands on a popular Korean manhwa series. And well, it seems like thenext in line isEleceed. As reported bySugoi Lite on X, an anime adaptation ofEleceedis getting an anime adaptation. While there’s no official confirmation, anEleceedanime could be the nextbig thing to come out afterSolo Leveling.
Crafted by the talented author who also gave usNoblesse,Eleceedis an action-packed storythat, much likeSolo LevelingandOmniscient Reader, features a massive world with several outwardly amazing characters. The Webtoon itself flexes a massive fanbase because of its unique narrative and over-the-top action sequences. In fact, ever sinceSolo Levelingwas released and the anime adaptation ofOmniscient Readerwas announced, fans have been hoping forEleceedto join the anime brotherhood. Well, if the rumor is true, then it’s certainly a great time forEleceedfans.
That said, right now, there’s no confirmation on the studio or a release window, andwe won’t get much clarity on the production of the anime adaptation until there’s an official announcement. For now, fans are simply hoping that the project gets picked up by a good animation studio, and it doesn’t meet the same fate as The Beginning After The End.Eleceedis one of those stories that deserves every bit of care and love, and if handled well, this story has thepotential to be as big asSolo Leveling. However,it could be a complete disaster if the animation or direction doesn’t do justice to the flamboyant fight sequences.
What isEleceedReally About?
The story ofEleceedis strange yet interesting. It features not one but two main protagonists, who join forces to fight everything that is evil in the world. Jiwoo is a skilled fighter who has harnessed the reflexes of a cat, so there’s no enemy that can touch the guy. However, the world is filled with several other super-powered individuals like Jiwoo, so even though Jiwoo is incredibly strong, he needs a helping hand to survive until the end. Well, that’s where Kayden comes in, who, interestingly, can transform into a cat.
Together, Jiwoo and Kayden not only fight to protect people but also ensure the safety of every foster pet in the world. Don’t be misguided by all the pet stuff, though, asthe series does feature several high-stakes and lethal fights. While the series will appeal to several viewers who love pets, it will also garner the attention of anime fans who love over-the-top and bloody action sequences.
