TheInvaders of Oakveilupdate forV Risingintroduced a boatload of free content, from weapons, a deep woodland biome, and, of course, more V Blood bosses. Players can expect the latter to give them a run for their money, as so far, they’ve proven to be rightfully difficult.
There is astaggering number of bosses inV Rising, and theInvaders of Oakveilupdate just made that roster even large. Not all the update’s bosses are locked behind the endgame, though, and if you want to prepare yourself for the challenges to come, here are all the bosses you may expect to fight courtest of theOakveilpatch.
All Invaders of Oakveil Bosses in V Rising
There are seven bosses in total from theInvaders of Oakveilupdate, and you’ll start seeing them as soon as you enter the Dunley Farmlands. As always, ensure toupgrade your gearand get a functioning build before attempting boss fights.
Sir Erwin the Gallant Cavalier (Level 46)
Sir Erwin is a unique enemy in the sense thathe is an actual mounted knight. He fights on horseback, making him fairly annoying to fight as a pure melee character since he moves around so much. Maces and axes are fairly decent at sneaking in some hits against Sir Erwin, though a ranged weapon like a bow or crossbow should be much more useful in this fight.
Gaius the Cursed Champion (Level 55)
Interacting with the war banner in Colosseum in the farmlands will unleash Gaius, a gladiator armed with Twinblades. Unlike Sir Erwin, he’s much easier to beat, as you can simply bait him into the edge of the arena andknock him back into the miasma, making him take severe damage.
Beating Gaiusunlocks the Arena Station, which players can use to challenge other vampires to a duel.
Stavros the Carver (Level 75)
Stavros is a tricky opponent. Most of his attacks leave lingering pools of venom, making melee combat very difficult. Ranged weapons and magic are the key to winning here, though a splash of patience will also help a lot.
Beating Stavrosunlocks Weapon Coatings, which lets you imbue your weapon’s next attack with a special effect.
Jakira the Shadow Huntress (Level 75)
Much like Tristan and Jade, Jakira can be found roaming roads and hunting monsters, such as yourself. She’s a stealthy fighter who can turn invisible, making her a bit annoying to go up against. Damage-over-time effects from Chaos magic and spells that leave damaging fields can potentially reveal her location, though.
When defeated, players will unlock the Slashers as a craftable weapon type as well as the recipe for the Elixir of the Twisted, which increases Spell crit chance and crit damage for one whole hour.
Lucile the Venom Alchemist
Lucile is a ranged fighter who summons Golems to fight by her side. She’ll be a bit hard to catch since she moves around a lot, but you can still get some hits in with a bit of patience. Summoning undead minions is a great way to force her attention away from you.
Defeating Lucile unlocks the Blood Homogenizer, which you’re able to use to combine the effects of two different Blood Potions.
Dantos the Forgebinder
The fight against Dantos is an interesting one. His moves are fairly simple, but the arena itself is a weapon that he uses against you. It may take a while before you can completely pin down how his environmental attacks work, but once you beat him, you’ll unlock one of the best features in the game.
The Fusion Forge lets youcombine Ancestral Weaponsor Jewels to create more powerful versions of them. Through this process, you’ll be able to make the best gear possible for your builds.
Megara the Serpent Queen
The de facto final boss of theInvaders of Oakveilupdate is Megara, and the fight against her is nothing short of epic. She’ll test both your build and your own skills in a large arena at the heart of the Venom Blades Bastion, and once you defeat her, you’ll get theSoul Shard of the Serpent(assuming no one on the server has gotten to it first).
Soul Shards are immensely powerful items that grant significant stat boosts and powerful active skills. By default, only one type of each Soul Shard can exist at a time, and players will have to fight others if they want to claim the shards for themselves.
