What is Galactic Chance Flash Event in Monopoly GO?
The “Galactic Chance” event replaces the standard Chance tiles and infuses them with a distinct cosmic theme, inspired by the Star Wars saga. Just like in the regular game, you need to roll the dice and land your token on one of the Chance tiles on theMonopoly GOboardto take advantage of this flash event.
When you land on a Chance tile while the Galactic Chance event is active, instead of drawing a regular Chance card, you’ll draw a special Star Wars-themed “Galactic Chance” card.
All Cards in Galactic Chance Event in Monopoly GO
Here are all the cards in the Galactic Chance event and their effects:
Special Effect
Carbonite (Escape Jail)
Drawing this card results in your token being immediately transported to Jail while still occupying the Chance tile. You’ll then receive three chances to roll doubles.
If you succeed, you’ll earn 3 times the number you rolled and break free. If luck isn’t on your side, you’ll have to pay a “Bounty” to escape and rejoin the action.
Force Lightning (Zap Rent)
This powerful card unleashes a lightning strike on all Rent targets on the board. You get free dice rolls for each Rent tile hit, multiplied by your currentdice multiplier inMonopoly GO. It doesn’t matter if you have hotels or houses, all rents are zapped.
Force Pull
Whenever you draw the “Force Pull” card, the two Milestone event pickup tokens that are currently closest to your token on the board are instantly drawn to you.
This means you’ll collect the pickups and earn the associated points towards the current Milestone event. Keep in mind, this only works if there are pickups currently on the board.
Deflector Shield
This card instantly refills your Shields, up to their maximum capacity. If your shield bar is already full when you draw this card, any extra shields you receive will be converted into valuable bonusdice rolls.
Galactic Tax
Unlike the other reward-focused cards, the “Galactic Tax” card results in a deduction of cash from your bank.
The amount of cash lost is directly proportional to your current roll multiplier. This card functions similarly to landing on one of the standard Tax tiles on the board.
Like many new features inMonopoly GO, the Galactic Chance flash event may still be in a testing phase, meaning it might not be available to all players just yet. Until it’s officially rolled out, Scopely could tweak the cards or event mechanics at any time.
