To Be Hero Xis a fantasticChinese animationthat started its season on July 18, 2025. Using an incredible 3D art style, this show depicts a world of superheroes and villains, but with some interesting twists. Unlike other superhero stories, the people of this world aren’t born with their powers, and they don’t need to be in a strange accident either. Instead, powers are gained from “Trust,” which is the amount of faith or belief the public has in a particular hero.
Similar toMy Hero Academia, popular heroes in this world work as actors, models, and performers to keep their Trust values high. What really makes this power system unique is the way belief shapes each person’s abilities. For example, a hero can only fly if the public believes they can. There are still many unknowns regarding the Trust system inThe Be Hero X, but it’s a creative spin on the superhero genre.
12Enhanced Strength
A Superhero Staple
Super Strengthis a common power in superhero stories, and it’s one of the easiest to implement because of its simplicity. All the heroes inTo Be Hero Xhave higher strength and endurance than normal people, but only a few have strength beyond that.
This power behaves as most would expect, allowing the user to easily lift incredibly heavy objects, destroy buildings, and overpower others. Although only a few heroes have been showcased in the series so far, it’s likely that others will also have some form of enhanced strength as well.
11Flight
A Superhero’s Classic Method Of Travel
Flightis another classic superhero power, likely due to the influence of characters like Superman. Of course, this power allows the user to levitate through the air, making things like travel much easier. It alsoincreases their mobilityand makes them harder to hit and escape.
So far, Nice is the only hero to display the power of flight, but others can fly using various other means, like with a jetpack or a set of wings. The downside is that Nice loses this ability if his fans don’t want him to go somewhere.
10Invulnerability
A Body That Can’t Be Hurt
Invulnerabilityis an overpowered ability that most writers wouldn’t include in a story if it didn’t come with stipulations. That’s one reason Superman has kryptonite as a weakness. Most heroes have a higher level of durability, but invulnerability keeps its wielder safe from all harm; it’s literal plot armor.
InTo Be Hero X, Firm Man is the only one with this power, allowing him to remain unscathed in even the most dire circumstances. The best example of this isseen when the villain, Magic Shadow, collides with him at a breakneck speed. Firm Man is unfazed by the incident while Magic Shadow gets completely destroyed.
9Immovable Body
Always Standing Tall
TheImmovable Bodypower manifested when Firm Man was still an ordinary person working as a firefighter, and he managed to hold up a burning building. From then on, public faith gave him the power to remain standing no matter what.
This ability’s biggest accomplishment is allowing Firm Man to act as the fulcrum of a lever that was being used to move the world’s largest stone, which appeared to be at least the size of a tall building. However, the public’s wish for Firm Man to “stand tall” means that he can never crouch, sit, or lie down.
8Teleportation
Convenient Instantaneous Travel
Teleportationis a power that many dream of as it allows the user to go wherever they want at any time. InTo Be Hero X, the user uses a toy-like gun to create a pink portal to their destination. This ability manifested while Moon was a travel blogger, and her fans wished for her to show them different places around the world.
Although this power is incredibly useful, it’s unfortunately limited by the Trust system. The toy gun used to make portals is limited to destinations the fans want to see. While she was dating Nice, Moon was only able to teleport to areas in his proximity.
7Super Speed
Faster Than A Speeding Bullet
Super Speedis a very common power in superhero media, and it’s pretty self-explanatory. It allows the user tomove extremely fast. As of now, there is no real metric for the speed inTo Be Hero X, but one of the users, E-Soul, can also manipulate electricity.
Despite its simplicity, Super Speed is an incredibly powerful ability that can lead to a lot of destruction and chaos. The villain, Magic Shadow, caused many casualties, and due to his speed, no one was able to stop him.
6Geokinesis
The Power To Make Mountains
Geokinesisis the ability tomove earth and stonewith the user’s thoughts. This ability is used by the faux villain, Wreck, who wields a large sword that emits black energy. Anything that energy touches will quickly manifest stones from the point of contact.
During his confrontation with Nice, Wreck is shown to be able to create and manipulate a vast amount of stone at once, creating a forest of stone pillars that grew taller than the cloud level. He can also manipulate the black energy to grow stones wherever he wants.
5Advanced Analysis
Even Better Than A Google Search
Not all powers are flashy, which is proven by the hero Enlighter, who had incredible analytical powers. His ability allowed him to process data on multiple screens at once and directly manipulate the information from devices like cameras.
The limits of thisAnalysisability aren’t known, but the bare minimum allows the user to gain vast amounts of information easily. With zero Trust, Enlighter could measure Nice’s heart rate through nothing but camera footage. He’s also shown to be capable of analyzing opponents mid-fight.
4Memory Destruction
Perfect For Superhero Publicity
Mental powers are often incredibly powerful, as the mind isn’t something that can be trained to resist them.Memory Destructionis only seen briefly inTo Be Hero X, but it can cause the victim to lose recent memories. Those memories are ejected from their head in the shape of screens that crack like glass.
This power is used by the hero Blankster, who excels at boxing. After punching someone, some of their memories are destroyed. How many memories, and form how far back, isn’t detailed in the show, but it’s nevertheless a strong ability.
3Electrokinesis
A Bundle Of Shocking Powers
The power ofElectrokinesisallows the user to manipulate electricity with their mind. While in most superhero shows, this would extend to shooting bolts of electricity,To Be Hero Xtakes it a step further, making it possible for the user to energize themselves to increase their physical output.
E-Soul is the hero most known for Electrokinesis, but due to the Trust system, it’s possible that many of his cosplayers can use this ability to some extent as well. E-Soul is seen using this power to make electricity tangible, use electromagnatism to move metal objects, and supercharge himself to move extremely fast.
