To continue that strong momentum, Ubisoft Quebec has announced plans to keep the game updated as well as respond to player feedback and create new content to enjoy over the course of the next year. One such player requested change has seemingly come earlier than expected.
Recently,Assassin’s Creed Shadowslaunched Title Update 4, a large update that added a free quest to check out, character bios inside of the Codex, and plenty more. As players were able to go hands-on with the new update, some in the community, like parkour enthusiast Ropotopolous, noticed that Naoe’s parkour moves felt and looked better. While the patch notes didn’t specifically mention anything regarding parkour tweaks, Ubisoft would later go on to confirm things.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Makes Big Parkour Improvements
As revealed by Ubisoft, the requested change came a bit earlier than expected and tweaked things to add a “subtle increase for consistently maintaining vertical height while free running.” Ubisoft Quebec is planning onadding parkour tweaks toAssassin’s Creed Shadowsin the next update, as a comment from the devs onRopotopolous' videorevealed improvements to height-gaining side and back ejects. Either way, the changes appear to have resonated with players, as many have left positive comments on the update.
While not a live service-style game, it’s clear that the launch was just the beginning for Ubisoft.Assassin’s Creed Shadowsreleased a Year 1 content roadmapshowcasing all of the planned content, updates, and collaborations. Fans can also look forward to the Claws of Awaji expansion, though unfortunately, Ubisoft has not provided a release window for the content.
