Patch 1.4 Brings Much-Needed Improvements To The Spring 2025 Season
Accessibility features headline the Spring season, beginning with the Arachnophobia Safe Mode, which replaces spider enemies with round, floating matter with swords instead of legs to cater to players who do not appreciate interacting with the creepy crawlies. In terms of movement mechanics, mouse and keyboard support is now available on the Xbox for those who wish to experience the RPG differently.
The fog of war has also seen a handful of touches from Obsidian. Although it still serves its purpose as an obscuring dynamic, it now clears far easier when players progress through the map. While this can be seen as a mere cosmetic change, the fog-clearing update facilitates uncovering more hidden locations during exploration.

In the fall, Obsidian Entertainment hasNew Game Plus lined up forAvowedto give players a new reason to boot up the game even months after its release. The last zone of the current meta has a bevy of powerful weapons - with a slight catch (players don’t get to experience a late-game weapon’s power for long). With New Game Plus, however, players can carry over their favorite weapons into a new playthrough and also explore multiple endings without having to layer multiple game saves.
Additionally, owing to popular demand, Photo Mode will also be added toAvowed. Other offerings include a new weapon type and customization options that allow players to change their appearances in the world and explore new character and feature presets.
