There’s a variety of builds for players to try inDeadzone: Rogue, and for those who want to make their guns feel extra spicy, then a Elemental build should do the trick. One can consider Elemental damage as the bread-and-butter build path in this game, and they’re both simple and easy to use right out of the box.
Likein most other roguelikes, you’ll want to get the perfect combination of weapons and perks to make a good build here. Players don’t need that many perks and items to get a good Elemental build going, but if you’re looking to deal the most damage possible inDeadzone: Rogue, here’s a guide covering all the things you should look out for during your runs.
Deadzone: Rogue - Fire Weapon Build
This build focuses on Burn and Combustion effects to deal massive damage. Like all other Elemental builds, this will require an Augment with the Elemental tag to maximize your weapons' proc chances.
Perks and Items
AnyElemental Augmentwill work with this, and what you pick is all up to personal preference. However, we do recommendHipfire - Elementalso you can run and gun with extreme efficiency. Alternatively,Short Range: Elementalis a good pick if you like getting up close and personal (or if you find yourself dying to melee mobs often).
While youshould absolutely take Primary Perks that improve Fire Damage, also keep an eye out for the following:
Effects
Shield Optimizer
Increases your Shield and reduces Shield Recharge Delay. Deal more damage when Shield is over 50%.
Locked and Loaded
Increases gun damage and refills the ammo of your stowed gun when you get a kill.
Ascending Swap
Gain increased weapon damage. When you switch weapons, you also gain increased fire rate and even more weapon damage.
Mag Link
Gain bonus damage and increased swap speed. When you swap, your shots consume no ammo for 3 seconds.
Sincethis is a roguelike game, you likely won’t be able to get all the ideal stuff for this build. If you still want to try it out, the following are all great options for any elemental build:
Effect
Elemental Attenuator
Gain up to 50% more Elemental Damage for every enemy affected by an elemental debuff.
Bio Gel
Using a grenade increases Proc Chance by 40% for 4 seconds.
Elemental effect proc chance increases by 30%
Proc chance against nearby targets increases by 30%
Deal more Weakpoint damage against targets suffering from elemental debuffs
After swapping weapons, your fire rate is increased.
Elemental Catalyst
Enemies take more damage for each elemental debuff applied to them.
Pistol Charm (Zone 2)
Your Primary Weapon has a chance to also proc your Secondary Weapon’s elemental effects.
Rifle Charm (Zone 2)
Your Secondary Weapon has a chance to also proc your Primary Weapon’s elemental effects.
Generally speaking, anything that improves your ammo capacity, proc chance, elemental damage, and weapon swapping is good for this build.
Weapons
For this build, it’s best to usetwo automatic weaponsso you may keep spitting bullets at enemies without worrying much about range or precision. Any weapon should do, but there are some that stand out.
TheArcblade SMG and Snapdragon Machine Pistolmake for a terrifying duo when used together. Both have very high fire rates, and if you stack enough Proch Chance on your items, perks, and armor, these can fill your screen with flames in no time. If you’re lucky enough to get both, make sure they have Combustion and/or Ignition affixes. Combustion gives your weapons a chance to cause explosions from enemies you hit, dealing massive damage to them and nearby enemies. Meanwhile, Ignition gives you guns a chance to Burn targets.
Equip your secondary weapon, melee weapon, and grenade with different elemental damage types to take advantage of certain perks/items.
If RNG doesn’t bless you with either of these weapons, great alternatives include:
Machine Guns somewhat suffer from their low fire rate and slow reload speeds, but they hit harder than other automatic weapons, and they have much larger magazines. With the right perks and items, they become just as strong as the Arcblade and Vanguard.
As for sidearms, theTritek-3SBis also a decent alternative to the Blitz and Snapdragon. The rest are decent, though this build does cater more to weapons with high fire rates since it relies on on-hit elemental procs.
