Ifa joinsGenshin Impactas an Anemo Catalyst user from Natlan, specializing in reaction-driven combat through Swirl andElectro-Charged reactions. Unlike conventional Anemo supports that focus onteam-wide buffs or crowd control, Ifa thrives as an on-field elemental driver, ensuring consistent reaction triggers that enhance team damage output. His kit allows him to not only trigger reactions, but he also has healing abilities and somewhat of a short-lasting crowd control to pull enemies.

One of Ifa’s defining strengths is his Ascension passive, which boosts Swirl and Electro-Charged damage based on his Nightsoul’s Blessing state. This means, he has synergy with Electro and Hydro characters though he remains flexible enough to function outside of specific elemental restrictions. While Ifa excels in Taser compositions, he is also a strong choice for multi-element teams, where his Swirl application distributes various elements across enemies.

It’s also important to note that, beyond specific elements benefiting Ifa’s team compositions,he requires at least one Natlan characterin the team to maximize his buffs for Swirl and Electro-Charged damage. His buff scaling is based on the combined Nightsoul points of all characters in the party, meaning Natlan units contribute significantly to his overall effectiveness. Additionally, having another Natlan character helps activate his passive talent, which grants 80 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds whenever a Nightsoul Burst is triggered. With more Natlan characters, the cooldown of Nightsoul Bursts is further reduced, allowing this buff to remain active almost indefinitely. While this synergy is beneficial, it is not mandatory, meaning Ifa can still function well in teams without full Natlan representation. Here’s Ifa’s best team compositions with all things considered inGenshin Impact.

Ororon is one of Ifa’s best partners, serving as a strong off-field Electro unit and a Natlan character, that also has benefits built in his kit for Electro-Recharged. His abilities help maintain Electro-Charged uptime, reinforcing Ifa’s role as an on-field elemental driver while optimizing reaction-based damage. That being said, essentially Ororon can be in each of his teams that require an Electro character, however it is also possible to ignore this buff.

Ifa + Ororon + Furina + Kuki Shinobu

Ororon, serves as Ifa’s best team member by providing consistent off-field AoE Electro application, and being the best candidate to wear Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set to provide buffs for the team. Alongside Ororon,Furina also pairs well with Ifa. She benefits from his ability to spread Hydro through Swirl, while contributing team-wide buffs, sub-DPS potential, and strong Hydro application. However, since Ifa’s healing alone is insufficient to sustain Furina’s HP drain, an additional healer is necessary to keep the team stable while maximizing Furina’s damage buffs.

Since Furina’s Hydro application is already strong, the team can benefit more from an Electro-oriented healer, such as Kuki Shinobu, who not only provides consistent healing but also enhances Electro-Charged uptime in close-combat scenarios. This synergy also improves Energy regeneration, helping Ifa maintain Elemental Burst rotations efficiently. Alternatively, playerscan opt for Hydro healerslike Sigewinne, Kokomi, or even Barbara, though Sigewinne and Kokomi being limited characters make them high-investment options. Given that Ifa is a 4-star character who can thrive in low-investment teams, prioritizing mostly accessible 4-star units ensures strong synergy without overcommitting resources.

Ifa + Neuvillette + Fischl + Ororon

Ifa naturally complements reaction-based team compositions, making him a strong fit alongside Neuvillette, Fischl, and Ororon. This team efficiently utilizes Swirl, Electro-Charged, and Hydro application to maintain strong elemental synergy. Neuvillette serves as the primary DPS, delivering consistent Hydro damage through his charged attacks, while Fischl and Ororon provide reliable off-field Electro application, ensuring steady Electro-Charged uptime. Since both Electro supports are interchangeable, players can swap them for other Electro units based on availability, however these options remain as the most cost-effective characters for Ifa teams specifically.

Ifa plays a secondary role in this team and hence won’t be played to his full potential with long on-field time, andreplaces units like Kazuha, Venti or Sucrosein case players don’t have access to them, especially in content like Imaginarium Theater where players may be needing to make some unconventional teams at times. As such, Ifa acts as a momentary Electro-Charged buffer while offering crowd control, ensuring Neuvillette can line up his charged attacks more effectively. Given that Neuvillette has built-in healing from his HP drain gain mechanics, Ifa’s healing is sufficient, meaning a dedicated healer is unnecessary. This composition allows for efficient reaction triggers, maintaining consistent damage output without requiring high-resource investments.

Ifa + Pyro Traveler + Citlali + Xilonen

Ifa, Pyro Traveler, Citlali, and Xilonen form a Rainbow DPS elemental driver team focused on Melt reactions, rather than Electro-Charged setups. Ifa plays an essential role in spreading both Pyro and Cryo elements through Swirl, ensuring consistent reaction uptime while providing crowd control and healing. While Mavuika would be the optimal Pyro DPS choice, Pyro Traveler is a low-investment alternative, allowing players to maintain Melt synergy without requiring a high-resource commitment.

Pyro Traveler provides steady off-field Pyro application, supporting Melt triggers, while Citlali enhances reaction consistency through her Pyro buffs for Melt teams and Cryo application. Xilonen offers team-wide buffs and healing, while her field up-time is very minimal. Since the team already includes both a healer and a shielder, players who do not have access to Xilonen can opt for flexible last-slot choices, such as Kazuha, Bennett, or any other preferred unit. Additionally, because this composition consists entirely of Natlan characters, players won’t need to worry about optimizing Ifa’s Rescue Essentials stacks.

Genshin Impact Ifa + Ororon + Furina + Kuki Shinobu

Ifa + Yae Miko + Nahida + Xingqiu

Ifa, Yae Miko, Nahida, and Xingqiu form a highly flexible reaction-based team, utilizing Electro-Charged, Aggravate, Swirl, and Hyperbloom to maximize elemental damage. Ifa serves as the elemental driver, spreading Hydro and Electro via Swirl while providing healing and crowd control. Yae Miko functions as the Electro sub-DPS, delivering high off-field damage through her turrets, while Nahida ensures consistent Dendro application and boosts Elemental Mastery for increased reaction damage. This EM bonus enhances both Nahida’s own damage output and Ifa’s Swirl damage and healing potential. It is worth noting that since there are no other Natlan characters in this team composition unless Yae Miko is swapped with Ororon, players won’t be noticing a significant buff to Swirl or Electro-Charged.

Xingqiu supports the team with Hydro application via coordinated attacks while offering defensive utility. His damage reduction and interruption resistance are particularly beneficial for mitigating the self-inflicted damage from Hyperbloom reactions, complementing Ifa’s healing. While Yelan can substitute Xingqiu in this setup, she lacks his defensive capabilities and is a more resource-intensive five-star unit. Similarly, Yae Miko can be swapped for other characters including Ororon, Fischl or Raiden Shogun, depending on players' roster. Giventhat all three sub-DPS charactersfunction effectively off-field, Ifa can remain on-field for extended periods without requiring frequent swaps, allowing him to consistently trigger elemental reactions and maintain team synergy.
