Monoco is one of the most unique Gestrals inClair Obscur: Expedition 33. Players will meet him at Monoco’s Station, and soon learn that he has the ability to turn into a Nevron. Monoco does this by collecting Nevron feet, although the exact process is unknown.
Thanks to his love of collecting Nevron feet, Monoco has a large variety of skills to choose from. This allows him to do so much during combat, including healing, buffing, debuffing, dealing damage, or all of these together. If players are overwhelmed by how much Monoco can do, then this guide can help by narrowing the viable setups forMonoco build inExpedition 33.

Strategy
To make the most of Monoco’s supportive role, build Monoco with theBallaroweapon to create a continuous AP generator. He can generate AP from multiple sources, but it’s always good to have a passive energy source.Ballaroreverses the Bestial Wheel, and that helps the Wheel Pointer land more often on the Heavy and Caster Masks, which have the most supportive skills out of the other Masks.
In this Monoco build,Boucheclier Fortifyis the most important skill for the team. Whenever the Wheel Pointer lands on Heavy or Almighty Mask, always cast this skill to fill allies’ AP on top of giving them Shell, Powerful, Rush, and shields. The skill itself doesn’t do all that, but Monoco’s Luminas helps make it one of the best skills inExpedition 33.
Monoco’s skills must cover every rotationand Mask available to verify players can always cast an upgraded skill or escape masks they don’t want. In thisExpedition 33build, Monoco can buff, heal, shield, protect allies, deal damage, and slow enemies.
Monoco Best DPS Build In Expedition 33
Other than a strong supportive role, Monoco can also shine as a DPS inExpedition 33. The variety in Monoco’s single and AoE attacks gives him the ability torun some of the hardest-hitting attacksalongside his supportive skills. This hybrid build allows Monoco to help the team in both the offensive and defensive departments.
Building Monoco to be ahybrid DPS requires a weaponlikeNusaro, which has a lot of power on top of 30% extra damage to all of Monoco’s upgraded skills. Players can also build Monoco withChromaroorSidaro.Chromarohelps Monoco cast theCreation Voidskill more often since it lowers its AP cost, whileSidarokeeps increasing Monoco’s damage as long as he’s casting upgraded skills.
It’s easy to keep casting upgraded skillsas long as Monoco has the AP and a skill from each mask. Additionally, Monoco gets a lot of AP from multiple sources, so AP won’t be an issue. Luminas likeEnergising Shell,Energising Powerful,Energising Turn, andEnergy Masterare amazing for building up Monoco’s AP every time he casts an upgraded Skill, especiallyBoucheclier Fortify.
Most of Monoco’s attacks are AoE in this build, withCreation Voidattacking random targets andbeing devastating against bosses. The idea behind this Monoco’s build is to set the field ready by the team and completely buff Monoco to deal some of the highest damage in the game.
If players are going against bosses, then Monoco should use fewer AoE abilities and focus on single-target skills such asDanseuse Waltz,Duallist Storm,Obscur Sword,Moissonneuse Vendange,Lampmaster Light, andEveque Spear.
