The Hezen Vengeance returns with a new pool of perks inDestiny 2Season 26 (Episode: Heresy), and it’s easily one of the best rocket launchers in the game in terms of pure damage output and perk synergy. If you already have a god roll Hezen Vengeance from before Episode Heresy, it’s most probably obsolete by now.

The new version of this rocket launcher has one of the best perk combs forRocket Launchers inDestiny 2,and players will want to get that roll over everything else. If you’re wondering what to look for in your Hezen Vengeance drops, here’s a quick guide to help you figure things out.

Destiny 2 Classic Hezen Vengeance

Absolute God Roll

Envious Arsenal and Bait and Switchis a match made in heaven. By dealing damage with all of your weapons, your Hezen Vengeance willautomatically reload itself and gain a damage bonus. Start by shooting a rocket before using your other weapons so you don’t mess up the activation cycle of the perks.

It’s hard to top this perk combo. Bait and Switch (which you canalso find in Apex Predator) provide a 30% damage bonus that’s very easy to activate, and with Envious Arsenal, you’ll be able to complete entire damage phases without reloading any of your weapons (unless you’re using Izanagi’s Burden, of course).

Rocket Spam Roll

While this one won’t be nearly as strong as the Absolute God Roll in terms of raw DPS output, it’s quite useful for bosses with short damage windows or encounters that require you to keep moving (such as thefinal boss of the Prophecy dungeon). Overflow and the Timelost Magazine Origin Trait can stack together with Bipod toboost your magazine capacity up to 8.

An 8-rocket magazine is nothing to scoff at. Granted, each individual rocket deals less than a regular one, but if you’re in a chaotic fight and you really need to get rid of something that’s in your way, a few blasts from this Hezen Vengeance roll should be enough to get the job done.

If you think 8 rockets is too much, get a roll withIncandescent or Cluster Bomb instead. Your single-target DPS will decrease, but your AoE damage potential will skyrocket. This roll is great if you’re on add-clear duty.
