Summary

Unlike Weapon items that are usually purchased for heroes with reliable weapons, Vitality items are essential for every hero inDeadlock. Longer survivability is what allows each player to engage in combat for a longer period and deal more damage.

Having the right set of Vitality items can easily negate the incoming damage or simply lower their effectiveness significantly. Some of these items are team-first, which can help other teammates to survive difficult combat scenarios or help them escape from death. Moreover, the Max HP of heroes plays a crucial role in some offensive items, and Vitality items are the main approach for improving Max HP.

Enchanter’s Emblem - Deadlock

10Enchanter’s Emblem

Earn Additional Spirit Power For Opening Attacks

Despite being a Vitality item, Enchanter’s Emblem is more of a buff to the player’s abilities and any Spirit-scaling stat. The item grants 15 extra Spirit Power as well as 7% Cooldown Reduction as long as the player’s health is above 65%.

This item helps a lot when beginning engagement, especially with a large number of enemies. It’s also quite powerful for sneaky heroes likeHazewho prefer to attack from behind. Enchanter’s Emblem powers up opening attacks and also helps them recover slightly faster.

Healing Rite - Deadlock

9Healing Rite

Gain Significant Health At A Cheap Price

There is no doubt that Healing Rite is one of the best early purchases inDeadlock. Even though the game has undergone numerous changes since its limited release, Healing Rite still has the same magic as before and delivers much-needed healing to players, saving them from a visit to the base.

Healing Rite can be either casted on a friendly hero or the player themselves, but it doesn’t share the healing and its corresponding buffs. So, only the target of the item gets all the buffs. It takes Healing Rite 20 seconds to restore 300 HP, and the player must not receive damage from enemies, as it will cancel the item’s effect. The good news is that the amount of healing scales with Spirit Power, which allows the Healing Rite to become even more powerful later in the game.

Plated Armor - Deadlock

8Plated Armor

Prevent Incoming Bullets From Dealing Damage

Plated Armor is the best item to delay or completely negate the incoming damage from weapons. However, it is only recommended if the opposing team has heroes like Haze,Vindicta, Wrait,McGinnis, or any other hero that is weapon-heavy in their attacks.

Plated Armor also protects the player from incoming damage from Creeps and Troopers, and that makes farming a lot easier, even with low HP. However, there is one big downside to Plated Armor that makes its purchase a bit risky.

Debuff Remover - Deadlock

While the item is quite powerful in negating weapon damage, it does have a nemesis item in the Weapons category, known as Armor Piercing Rounds, which gives the owner the chance of having their bullets pierce through any barrier, including Plated Armor.

7Debuff Remover

Get Rid Of Almost All Negative Effects

Debuff Remover is one of the essential items that every hero can benefit from, regardless of their role in the team. First off, the item provides 30% permanent Debuff Resist as well as 125 units of Max HP. And when it comes to its Active phase, Debuff Remover gets rid of any negative effect on the player instantly, healing them briefly, and giving a movement speed boost for 4 seconds.

That being said, there is a catch in using Debuff Remover. First of all, it cannot remove the negative effects that originate from an opponent hero’s ultimate ability. Secondly, the player cannot use Debuff Remover while Stunned or Slept. Despite these limitations, though, Debuff Remover is quite useful during intense battles.

Majestic Leap - Deadlock

6Majestic Leap

Jump High Into The Sky And Traverse Quickly

While Cheat Death is a good item to escape death and buy time, sometimes nothing can get the player free of incoming damage other than forcing them to launch them directly into the air. Majestic Leap is the best thing to set oneself free of tons of incoming damage, especially when surrounded by many opponents.

The item instantly launches the hero into the air and allows them to descend at any time before the buffs end with the same speed as launching. While mostly used for escaping, sometimes Majestic Leap is also great for chasing down enemies. When launching, the player also gains a small barrier to save them from incoming attacks.

Cheat Death - Deadlock

5Cheat Death

Avoid Death For A Short Period And Escape

As the name implies, this item avoids death for a brief period, allowing player to leave the area in the meantime and maybe apply any type of healing on themselves to avoid death once their immunity is over. However, it doesn’t come without sacrifices.

The moment the player takes lethal damage, Cheat Death activates for 4 seconds. The player needs to leave the scene within the timeframe before they die again. The downside is that once the Cheat Death is active, the player’s health regeneration and damage output are both reduced by 70%. Also, the movement speed is reduced by 2 units. This makes escaping harder, but it still gives a brief window for the player to avoid death, especially if they are already on the verge of surviving.

Stamina Mastery - Deadlock

4Stamina Mastery

Recover Stamina Faster And Gain Additional Dash

Stamina is a crucial item for surviving and for scoring kills inDeadlock. Players who can’t move around quickly will become an easy target for opponents. So, it’s important to traverse fast and jiggle around quickly before getting shot at.

Stamina Mastery is the best item to boost movement overall. It comes with two more Stamina bars, faster recovery of Stamina, and longer travel distance with a jump or a dash. The item also passively allows the player to perform one extra jump or dash before landing on the ground, which can be useful for escaping or chasing scenarios.

Healing Nova - Deadlock

3Healing Nova

Heal All Nearby Teammates Quickly

This is the upgraded version of the Healing Rite, which is indeed worth the extraSoulsto pay. Unlike Rite, Nova heals the player and any ally hero within 18 meters of them, and this range can be increased with range expansion items.

Healing Nova also comes with a much faster effect, as the entire healing is done in only 2 seconds. The amount of HP received is the same as Healing Rite, and so is the cooldown time to use the item again. Spirit scaling multiplier also remains the same.

Phantom Strike - Deadlock

2Phantom Strike

Teleport To The Enemy Location And Disarm Them

Phantom Strike is an attack-heavy item, yet somehow it’s been categorized in Vitality. The item is perfect for heroes with strong melee abilities likeAbrams,Mo & Krill, and Lash. The player is able to target an enemy and teleport to them instantly, disarming the target for a brief duration, dealing Spirit Damage to them, and slowing them down.

For any melee-heavy hero, Phantom Strike is a must-have item. It comes with a cast range of 25 meters, but it can be increased with some range-expansion items. The item’s damage scales with Spirit, and the item itself grants some Spirit Power as well as Weapon Damage within its Passive buffs. With a cooldown of only 30 seconds, Phantom Strike is easily an overpowered item.

Rescue Beam - Deadlock

1Rescue Beam

Drag Teammates While Healing Them

The final upgrade to Healing Rite and Healing Nove is Rescue Beam. Unlike its predecessors, Rescue Beam offers two passive buffs of Ability Range and Sprint Speed. Also, its cooldown time is 40 seconds shorter than both Rite and Nova.

When it comes to the healing mechanism, the Rescue Beam is capable of healing two heroes simultaneously: the player and the target of healing. Both heroes will be healed by 25% of their Max HP, and it does not scale with Spirit Power anymore.

The healing process is done almost as fast as that of Healing Nova, but Rescue Beam also allows the player to drag their healing target towards them, which is quite useful when someone tries to escape but is slowed down by the opponents' attacks.
