Call of Duty: Warzonefeatures a large arsenal of weapons that players can wield, each carving out its own niche within the overall meta. While Assault Rifles serve as the best class for most engagements, andSubmachine Guns shine up close, those looking for more stopping power at long range may benefit from one category in particular.
Sniper Rifles, outside of Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns, are among the most used weapons inWarzone, excelling at taking down enemies from a distance, though they require significantly more skill to master. They remain some of the strongest options in the long-range meta, and while each Sniper Rifle has its own strengths, some definitely stand out above the rest. Here’s ourtier list ranking the best Sniper Rifles currently available inWarzone.
HDR

TheHDR Sniper Rifleis not only the number one Sniper Rifle in the game, but alsoone of the top weapons across all ofWarzone. While the weapon itself does not boast the highest level of bullet velocity in its category, ranking behind both the LR 7.62 and the LW3A1 Frostline, its overhaul in damageallows players to focus mostly on boosting its bullet velocity, resulting in a build that retains its high level of damage, while boasting very minimal bullet drop. This makes the weaponvirtually a one-shot headshot at all ranges, and though it’s not the fastest option, it’s significantly quicker than some of the heavy hitters fromModern Warfare 2and3.
LW3A1 Frostline
TheLW3A1 Frostlinemight not reign supreme in terms of raw range, and when it comes to ADS and sprint-to-fire speed, it’s fairly comparable to other options. That said, it still stands out as an excellent Sniper Rifle, offering significantlybetter bullet velocity and a faster fire rate—perfect for chaining shots when you miss that initial headshot. Its mobility also strikes a nice balance between ultra-light rifles and the heavier, harder-hitting options. And with the right build, it’s even capable ofone-shot headshots up to 80 meters out, making it a great contender.
Kar98k
While technically aModern Warfare 3Marksman Rifle,theKar98kmakes a strong case as one of the best Sniper Rifle alternatives inWarzone. It might not offer top-tier damage range or the highest bullet velocity, but it shines in close-to-mid-range engagements. Withimpressive aim-down-sight and sprint-to-fire speeds, the Kar98k is quick on the draw, perfect for those looking for an excellent quickscoping loadout. Its damage profile is also solid, allowing forone-shot headshots of up to 67 meterswith the right build.
LR 7.62
TheLR 7.62shares a lot of similarities with the LW3A1 Frostline, offering the same damage output, but it falls behind in terms of aim-down-sight speed and sprint-to-fire speed. That said, it makes up for the slower handling with excellent bullet velocity and a higher degree of accuracy overall. With the right build, the LR 7.62 is capable oflanding one-shot headshots of up to 96 meters, giving it solid long-range potential. While it doesn’t deliver the same level of raw stopping power as the HDR, it does benefit from a few key perks it shares with the LW3A1 Frostline: low bullet drop and a faster rechambering speed.
MORS
TheMORSis easily one of the strangest Sniper Rifles inWarzone, having made its way in fromAdvanced Warfare, but it’s an absolute powerhouse. It features a single-shot system, where each round is manually loaded after every shot, essentiallycutting down on reload time. With the right build, the MORS is also capable oflanding one-shot headshots at any range, all whilst boasting very little bullet drop. However, it is not the quickest Sniper Rifle out there, leaning more into raw power than mobility.
KATT-AMR
For a time,theKATT-AMRwas one of the best Snipers inWarzone, and that still reigns somewhat true today from a damage perspective. The KATT-AMR is one of the few weapons that boasts aone-shot headshot kill potential at all rangeswithout the need to increase damage range at all, allowing players to maximize their efforts in upping the guns' bullet velocity, along with increasing the handling attributes. The weapon itself is arguablythe slowest option in the Sniper Rifle category, though, and with other options retaining the same ability to kill with one shot to the head, along with being far faster, there are not a whole lot of reasons to run it currently.
Victus XMR
For a time, theVictus XMRSniper Rifle was a great pick, and while some players may find some decent success when using it today, it’s not exactly the ultimate Sniper Rifle. The Victus XMR isgenerally quite slow-handling,though it does pack quite a heavy punch. It’s far from the best Sniper Rifle to use at long range, but with a decent build, players can get aone-shot headshot with the Victus XMR from up to 86 meters.
FJX Imperium
TheFJX Imperiumhas a few perks going for it that make it a decent Sniper Rifle. Firstly, though not the fastest option, it’s relatively quick, and players can build the weapon tohave a decently fast fire ratefor quickly snapping back-to-back shots on enemies. Players can also kit the weapon to haveexcellent bullet velocity, placing it on the higher end of the category. Damage-wise, the weapon is slightly lacking, with a damage profile similar to the Victus XMR, but onlyboasting a one-shot headshot potential of up to 68 meterswhen fully built for damage range and bullet velocity.
XRK Stalker
Finishing off the B-Tier istheXRK Stalker, another weapon whose damage profile is relatively similar to both the FJX Imperium and the Victus XMR. In terms of speed, the XRK Stalker is relatively slow, serving the same niche as the Victus XMR. In terms of power at range, however, the XRK Stalker is definitely on the lower end, with itsmax one-shot head-shot kill potential capping out at the 68-meter mark.
C-Tier Sniper Rifles
Sniper Rifles in theC-Tiertend to cater to a niche portion of theCall of Duty: Warzonecommunity, but they’re far from the most viable picks in the current meta. While some players may find moderate success using these weapons, they’regenerally not recommendedunless players arechasing a specific challenge or grinding for camos.
