Blue Princehas more than 100 rooms to sort through, and several of those rooms can be upgraded as well. This means that everyone’s playthrough ofBlue Princewill be a little bit different, depending on which upgrades they choose.
One of the many rooms that can be upgraded is the Guest Bedroom. This room has three different possible upgrades from its upgrade disk, and you might be wondering which is the best to pick.
The Guest Bedroom in Blue Prince
The Guest Bedroom is a purple bedroom that is also a dead end. The basic version of this room gives you tenadditionalBlue Princestepswhen you enter it for the first time. It can also have an item on the side table directly across from the door, including things like the Compass, a key, or a gem. There is a single note inside the Guest Bedroom as well; it is a note from a friend of your grand uncle’s who mentioned that they like the new dartboard puzzle put in the Pool Room.
All Upgrades for the Guest Bedroom in Blue Prince
In order to upgrade this room, you will need to find one of the manyBlue PrinceUpgrade Diskslocated in the rooms around the manor. When placed in a computer, these disks give you a random selection from a small group of rooms that can be upgraded, and each gives you three options for upgrades. These are the Guess, Geist, and Quest Bedroom.
The Quest Bedroom
If you have drafted the Quest Bedroom, and then youenter the Antechamber inBlue Prince, you will gain an Allowance token that raises your daily allowance by two. Since there are loads of other ways to get Allowance tokens, this feels like the weakest of the possible upgrades for the Guest Bedroom.
The Geist Bedroom
The Geist Bedroom is a haunted version of the original. You get two Ivory Dice every time you draft this room, and then you get additional Ivory Dice if you have also drafted the Tomb outside the house.
The Guess Bedroom
The most interesting of the upgrades is the Guess Bedroom. Inside, you will find items that mimic items you would find in a different bedroom, and you need to guess which room the Guess Bedroom is copying. Keep in mind that theonly rooms that are in your draft pool are possibilitiesfor the Guess Bedroom, so any rooms that aren’t already drafted and are possible in your specific drafting pool. Here is a breakdown of how to know which room you have gotten:
Aquarium
Base
The Guess Bedroom will show up as multicolored instead of purple on the map.
Bedroom
If you enter and get 2 steps, then enter again and get 2 steps, choose this one.
Bunk Room
Base/Upgrades
The Bunk Room doesn’t do anything on its own, so it’s hard to say how it will react unless you have an upgrade and have the prerequisite for it.
Electric Eel Aquarium
Aquarium Upgrade
When the Guess Bedroom is a power source, it is this one.
Goldfish Aquarium
This room will give 10 coins when you enter the Guess Bedroom.
Her Ladyship’s Chamber
In order to confirm if the room is the Ladyship’s Chamber, you would need to walk into the Boudoir or the Walk-In Closet afterward and see how the game reacts.
Her Ladyship’s Spare Room
Spare Bedroom Upgrade
Hovel
If rooms cost steps instead of gems after this, it is the Hovel.
Indoor Nursery
Nursery Upgrade
The Indoor Nursery is a Green Room, so it will outline the Guess Room in green.
Maid Chamber
If the Guess Room is the Maid Chamber, it will be half purple and half aBlue Princered room.
Master Bedroom
The Master Bedroom gives you the number of steps equal to the number of rooms you have drafted so far that day.
Nursery
This one will show a crib in the upper right-hand part of the screen as it adds to your total of steps.
Nurse’s Station
You can only tell if you have less than 10 steps when you enter this room, because it will set your steps to 20.
Servant’s Spare Quarters
If there are keys equal to the number of bedrooms you have drafted that day, it is the Servant’s Quarters.
Servant’s Quarters
This one does nothing, but counts as a Bedroom.
Spare Master Bedroom
Starfish Aquarium
This room will give you a single star for yourBlue Princeconstellations.
