Boruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 21 gave fans a proper glimpse of the immense powers that Sarada Uchiha holds for the very first time. Every fan of the series expectedSarada Uchiha to be at the center of thingsin Two Blue Vortex chapter 21, and that is precisely what happened. Previously, she reawakened her Mangekyo Sharingan in the midst of the battle against Ryu, thanks to Yodo.
But, the full capabilities of her eyes were not revealed to the fans. Now, however, Ikemoto and Kishimoto have given fans a proper look at her eyes and what they’re truly capable of. Needless to say, Sarada Uchiha’s Mangekyo Sharingan power is one of the most broken abilities that fans have seen in the entire story.
How Sarada Awakened Her Mangekyo Sharingan
Sarada Uchiha gained the power of the Mangekyo Sharingantowards the end of the first part of the Boruto series. When Omnipotence struck, it was announced that Naruto Uzumaki was dead and the killer was Boruto Uzumaki. This caused great trauma to Sarada Uchiha and triggered her Mangekyo Sharingan awakening. There are two main reasons as to why she gained this power.
The awakening of Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan was proof enough for me. — Sasuke Uchiha
The first was the supposed death of the Seventh Hokage. Sarada was always known to be very close to the Seventh Hokage, and his death was always going to push her close to awakening the Mangekyo Sharingan.
Secondly, the inevitable death of Boruto Uzumaki which was coming following the announcement of Naruto’s death at his hands, was yet another reason of shock and trauma, and most likely also contributed greatly to Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan awakening. Unfortunately, she didn’t know she had this power until Two Blue Vortex chapter 20, where, after three years, she finally tapped into this power again, thanks to Yodo pushing her to accept her feelings. Now, Sarada Uchiha has officially unleashed her Mangekyo Sharingan, and its powers are truly frightening.
Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan Ability: Ohirume
Sarada Can Crush Any Enemy
Sarada Uchiha can use the power of the Mangekyo Sharingan quite effectively right from the get-go. So far, she’s only used one Mangekyo Sharingan jutsu, and it was named Ohirume by Sarada. This Jutsu, as fans know, allows Sarada Uchiha to create black spheres in space that essentially function as black holes. Naturally, these black holes have immense gravitational pull and they can crush everything. In a way, this power is similar to the Rinnegan’s Universal Pull, only better. Sarada Uchiha can manually select which things get targeted by the Black Hole and which remain unaffected. She can also use the crushing force of gravity at different levels, and that makes it very versatile.
For instance, using the power of Ohirume,Sarada can create multiple black holesthat restrict the movements of the enemies. Even someone as strong as Ryu couldn’t escape from Sarada Uchiha’s Ohirume Jutsu, despite being an Otsutsuki level threat. But, that’s not all. Sarada can also crush her enemies using this power, as seen in Two Blue Vortex chapter 21. Using the immense gravitational force of Ohirume, Sarada was able to crush Ryu and completely defeat him, leaving behind only his Thorn Soul Bulb. Unfortunately, this caused Sarada Uchiha to pass out due to exhaustion.
Ohirume’s Defensive Capabilities
Sarada can also use Ohirume to create multiple black holesand defend herself. Any attack aimed at her is automatically sucked in by the black holes, making it an ultimate defense. Using these powers, Sarada was able to easily avoid Ryu’s attacks, and then using the crushing force of gravity, she was able to demolish his body, claiming victory in battle with rather ease.

What Is Sarada’s Second Mangekyo Sharingan Ability?
For Now, It Is Unknown But It Could Be Amaterasu
Sarada’s second Mangekyo Sharingan abilitywasn’t revealed inBoruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 21. However, it could possibly be Amaterasu. This is because Ohirume (大日孁) is a title for the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, and if logic is to be followed, this means Sarada is referred to as a sun goddess of sorts. In other words, she could have the power of Amaterasu.
