With just a couple of weeks leftuntil the expected start date for Season 4, publisher Activision has officially begun teasing the major content update. The first cinematic video not only seemingly confirmed the return of two iconic weapons but also hinted at afan favoriteCall of Dutycharacter coming backfrom the dead. The short trailer shows Adler enlisting the help of Vikhor “Stitch” Kuzmin, who many believed to be dead following the events ofBlack Ops Cold War. This isn’t the first time thatCall of Dutyhas brought back deceased characters for new seasons, asModern Warfarecharacters such as John “Soap” MacTavish and Phillip Graves have also returned after being killed in the series' main campaign.
Call of Duty Season 4 Trailer Teases Returning Weapons
While the new outro cinematic forCall of DutySeason 3had a heavy focus on Stitch making his return, some eagle-eyed viewers noticed that the short trailer seemingly confirms the return of two iconic weapons: the LC10 Submachine Gun and the FFAR Assault Rifle. The former of the two weapons has only been seen inBlack Ops Cold War, while the FFAR has had multiple iterations over the years. It first made its debut as the FAMAS in 2009’sCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2and has reappeared as the FFAR in titles such asCall of Duty: Black Ops 3,Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and more.
Further details on the upcoming season are still scarce, but fans can likely expect to find numerous new Multiplayer maps, game modes, operator skins, and more to check out. Traditionally, developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software also have numerous events planned throughout the course of a new season. Season 3 brought two weed-themed events to the game, sparking controversy among the community for its repetitiveness. For unknown reasons,Call of Dutyrecently extended its High Art eventfor an additional week, giving fans even more time to level up the controversial Event Pass.
Fans are also hoping to see a decent number of bug fixes in the upcoming update, as Season 3 Reloaded received backlash from the community for the sudden increase in cheaters and bugs in the shooter. One player even recently encountered astrange bug that put a Zombie into theWarzonegulag. It’s unclear how the bug occurred, but this is just one of the many issues that seems to have been introduced with the game’s mid-season update earlier this month.
