Call of Duty: Warzone Removes Battle Royale Solos
Unfortunately, it looks like the controversies surroundingCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4just keep coming, as Raven Software has angered the community once again by announcing that Battle Royale Solos will be removed from the game with Season 4 later today. In the official patch notes for the update, Raven Software said the new Battle Royale Casual mode, which features a mix of players and bots, has become a “considerably popular option.” So, in an effort to keep playlist options “focused and manageable,” the studio is experimentally replacing Battle Royale Solos with Battle Royale Casual Solos, meaning anyone looking to play alone will be forced to play in lobbies with bots.
As expected, fans have been outraged by the decision. OneTwitter usersaid the modes removal is “absolutely terrible,” whileanother said, “I don’t understand why they don’t just leave all squads alone.” While players are clearly disappointed by the removal of core Solos,Warzone’s bot-filled lobbieshave been incredibly popular with the community since their arrival in Season 3, which is part of the reason as to why Solos has been replaced. Raven has also noted that it will be closely monitoring player feedback and daily active user performance over the coming weeks in order to determine what the next steps for the mode will be.
When the newest season ofWarzonekicks off on May 29, a brand-new playlist update will also go live. As for Resurgence fans, Solos, Duos, Trios, and Quads will all be available on Rebirth Island. Season 4 will also see the return of Clash, a massive limited-time mode that features large scale battles of 52v52 lobbies on Verdansk, with respawning enabled.
