How To Open The Secret Cave At Canyon Crossing In Fortnite

The hidden cave players are looking for can be foundalong the cliffside just to the left of the waterfall, locatedeast of Canyon Crossing. It can be identified by the large boulders blocking the entrance, making it somewhat visible but still easy to overlook if players are not actively looking for it.

To reach this spot, players have a couple of options. They can either drop directly onto the cave from the Battle Bus at the beginning of the match, or rotate to it later on after looting a nearby POI. Conveniently, there are ascenders located both above and below the cave’s location for those who decide to rotate there later in the game.

Once at the entrance, players just need toharvest the boulders blocking the way using their pickaxe, which only takes a few quick swings.

Inside the secret cave, players willfind a total of four chests, along withsix guaranteed Slurp Barrelsfor restoring shields or health. While the location doesn’t provide any game-breaking loot such as guaranteed Rare Chests or Mythic items, the Slurp Barrels make it a reliable and consistent choice for thoselooking to conserve their healing itemsfor later in the match.

Because it’s slightly out of the way and not commonly contested, this cave is an excellent drop location for solo players who want to gear up without jumping into early-game fights fresh off the Battle Bus. However, if players are looking for the best loot available in squads, it may be best to avoid this one.
