Another big plotline inChicago Medseason 10, episode 21 findsDr. Caitlin Lenox’s (Sarah Ramos) brother, Kip (Logan mIller), hospitalized after falling on the street. Since his balance has been off, he’s scared that he has prion disease, which their mother was diagnosed with. Kip doesn’t want to get any tests, and Lenox is upset with him. He’s about to leave, but he says he can’t move his legs. At the end of the episode, Kip and Lenox agree to each get tested and find out about their family history. Then, Lenox and Hayes talk in the elevator, and he denies what happened with Naomi. Lenox calls him “arrogant,” and Hayes threatens her if she continues supporting Naomi. Lenox stands up to Hayes and says:
“Maybe I’ll light myself on fire just to watch you burn with me.”
The end of the previous episodesaw Charles’s mom collapsing, and now,Charles speaks at his mother’s memorial serviceand becomes vulnerable about the difficult and complicated relationship they had. He says he wanted them to have an honest conversation where they could forgive each other, but unfortunately, they ran out of time. While Charles doesn’t open up a lot, this episode shows some growth on his part as he admits that he let too much time pass without telling his mom how he really felt.
