The relentless natural disasters in the sequel have been a point of contention recently, but the update reduces these setbacks significantly, including a 50% reduction while playing on the “light” setting. The update also introduces research queuing, allowing players to choose the tech they want developed, and multiplayer teams. The developer previously promised two new leaders, four new civs, and four new world wonders would be added to the game between April and September, according toCivilization 7’s content roadmap, but the game’s latest update already goes above and beyond.

However, most player feedback highlighted that the sequel should never have been released until the game was at this post-update standard.
Civilization 7was one of the manygames confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2, revealed during the Japanese publisher’s extensive Direct showcase. Joining the strategy game,Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition,Borderlands 4,NBA 2K, and more were also confirmed to be gracing the successor console.
