What Will Criminal Minds: Evolution Season 3 Be About?
TheCriminal Minds: Evolutionshowrunner Erica Messer shared some details about season 3 in an interview withUs Weekly. Messer mentioned thatthe new episodes willfeature Gold Star group of serial killers. She said:
“It felt like the minute Voit said Gold Star at the end of season 16 [ofCriminal Minds], or season 1 [ofCriminal Minds: Evolution], he led us on a new quest. We had to go down that route because he had this deal with the [BAU] director and we had to prove we didn’t want his help. But Voit had a network of killers and we never really solved that.”
Like manydark episodes ofChicago P.D.,Criminal Mindshas featured more than a few terrifying and disturbing villains, and the Gold Star group is one of the most enduring and mysterious. Messer also talked aboutZach Gilford’s killer Elias Voit playing a big part in the new seasonand said:
“So, this season will be a little bit more diving into that space. And because we have Voit, there’s no reason to reinvent the wheel on what that badness is. He’s given it to us this whole time.”
