Crunchyroll President Rahul Purini recently made an important comment regarding the production of the final arc of theDemon Slayeranime.Demon Slayerwill soon drop the first movie of theInfinity Castletrilogy, and it will definitely be a massive release — and a new trailer will be out in a few days.
The first movie will probably cover a good portion of the Infinity Castle arc, which is the penultimate arc of the manga and shows the Demon Slayer Corps invading Muzan’s lair to end the fight against demons and finally cure Nezuko.

While the release date for the first movie has already been announced, Purini addressed the following films in an interview withDeadline(the news was written by Stewart Clark). This may not seem like much at first, but it suggests that there are many teams working on the movie right now, and also indicates that Crunchyroll is following the production closely. Furthermore,it might indicate that they already have an idea of when the next movies will be released, while the production teams have not yet publicly announced it (and they probably will not announce it, at least before the first movie is released).

Since the Infinity Castle arc isfollowed by the Sunrise Countdown arc, it wasn’t clear if the movies would be the final chapter, or if they would just set the stage for a final season to be released at a later date. Additionally,Deadlinestates that industry circles expect a “fairly evenly spaced” release schedule — which could be in line with rumors that they will release a movie every two years (in 2025, 2027 and 2029).
When Will Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie 1 Be Released?
The first movie in theDemon Slayer: Infinity Castletrilogy, officially titledDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle,will be released in Japanon May 31, 2025. However, it will be a few months before the movie is released internationally, so fans who want to avoid spoilers should be careful, or they might stumble upon a post from the Japanese media or the Japanese audience with spoilers or some other kind of unwanted information.
Themovie will be released in the US and Canada on July 21, 2025, distributed by Sony Pictures and Crunchyroll, and it will probably be screened with dubbed and subbed options, just like the previous movies.
