Summary
A dedicatedCyberpunk 2077player has taken the time to recreate some of the most iconicGrand Theft Auto 6screenshots, which were released alongside Trailer 2 earlier this month. Although this individual has used a handful of mods to match the shots as closely as possible, the images show just how advanced the visuals inGrand Theft Auto 6are going to be when compared to other modern-day, triple-A titles.
On May 6, Rockstar Games shocked the world when it released therecord-breaking second trailer forGrand Theft Auto 6. In just 24 hours, the trailer accumulated over 475 million views across all social media platforms. According to Rockstar, this makes it the biggest and fastest-growing trailer in the history of the internet. While fans still have a year left to go until the game’s release, the almost three minutes worth of footage and 70 new screenshots are keeping fans occupied for the time being. There has already been a myriad of discovered easter eggs and references, but now players are comparing the images to other triple-A titles, such asCyberpunk 2077.
GTA 6 Screenshots Recreated in Cyberpunk 2077
There’s no denying that CD Projekt Red’sCyberpunk 2077is already one of the best-looking games around, but new comparison images from Reddit user Party-Scallion-189 show thatGrand Theft Auto 6is going to be leaps and bounds ahead of most other triple-A titles. The images, which can be seen below, useCyberpunk 2077’s Panam as a stand-in for Lucia, recreating some ofGTA 6’s best screenshots. From Lucia being mid-strike to gracefully relaxing in the pool, the Reddit user has spent the time recreating every detail from the screenshots. However, it is worth noting that a handful of mods were used to adjust the lighting, poses, effects, and customization in order to get the perfect shots.
While the user also notes that these images were not created to be a direct graphics comparison, it’s hard not to appreciate just how impressiveGrand Theft Auto 6’s visuals are. As both of the game’s trailers have been created in-engine, the visuals seen are an accurate representation of what will appear in-game. Rockstar has also revealed that there were equal parts cutscenes andgameplay inGrand Theft Auto 6Trailer 2, but did not specify which parts were gameplay. Users then spent the time rewatching the trailer and breaking down what parts could potentially be gameplay.
Unfortunately, it’s going to be quite some time until fans get to check outGrand Theft Auto 6’s graphics in real-time. Shortly before Rockstar released the game’s second trailer, the studio announced that it haddelayedGrand Theft Auto 6from its Fall 2025 release window to Jun 11, 2025. In a statement on its social media channels, Rockstar apologized to fans and noted that the studio’s goal “has always been to try and exceed expectations.” WithGrand Theft Auto 6being no exception to that rule, Rockstar said it needs the extra time to deliver the level of quality that fans have grown to expect from the developer.
