Days Gone Remasteredis the ultimate way to playDays Gone; it keeps all of the content included in the original version of the game, as well as the free DLC that was released later on. On top of this, it features a graphical enhancement and a few game modes that had never been seen before: Speedrun, Permadeath, and Horde Assault. The first two are story game modes that add a twist to the standard main campaign mode, and the latter is a fleshed-out arcade-like game mode with levels and rewards to unlock.
This guide will tell players what they need to know about the Horde Assault game mode inDays Gone Remastered. Here, players can understand how to level up, increase their reputation, and gain access to all the maps and rewards available.
What Is the Horde Assault Game Mode in Days Gone Remastered?
Days Gone Remasteredintroduced players to the Horde Assault game mode, which is an arcade-like horde-fighting game. When first players start Horde Assault, they will have to take down small groups of Freakers as they attempt to reach their bike. Then, they will have limited time to loot and find supplies before the next horde comes.
Horde size will gradually increase, and sooner or later, gamers will undoubtedly run out of supplies, which is why they must continue to look for useful items nearby and even search nearby areas for Supply Boxes - these are marked on their map so gamers always have an objective to reach.
On top of this, there are also side jobs marked on the top left corner of the screen that grant players ammo and materials that will help them take down the oncoming Freakers. These will update every few minutes, so if gamers run out of supply, they can wait for a favorable side job to appear and replenish their resources once it’s completed.
Additionally, gamers can select injectors at the start of their run that will either hinder their run or give them an advantage. However, this will either positively or negatively affect their final score.
Days Gone Remastered Horde Assault Maps
There are four regional maps inDays Gone RemasteredHorde Assault. Players will get access to the Cascade map first, and in order to unlock the next map, they’ll have to reach the regional target score. Then, they must continue to follow this logic until they’ve unlocked the four available maps.
Once players reach the target score in the Crater Lake region, they’ll increase their reputation and gain access to the next phase of Horde Assault. The maps will become locked once again, and gamers will have to hit the new and higher target scores to unlock them all over again and reach the next reputation level.
