However, sometimes, players may want to test their damage simply to have fun. For example, in the Gestral Village, there’s a challenge withOno-Puncho, who asks players todeal 9999 damageto them in one single hit. While this may look like something you can do in the late game, it’s actuallypossible to do while you’re progressing in the Gestral Villageitself.

Dealing 9999 damage to Ono-Puncho inExpedition 33can be done easily in the correct setups, but first, players must understand the rules of the challenge:
Since it’s possible to debuff and set up the field before unleashing the “one hit,” players can utilize buffing and debuffing abilities to set up their combo. For example,Maelle can take the lead in dealing 9999 damage to Ono-Puncho shortly after winning the tournament, which means players don’t have to wander too far from the Gestral Village.
Ono-Punchoonly gives a cosmetic as a reward for completing the 9999 damage challenge, so there’s no rush to complete this task.
How To Deal 9999 Damage To Ono Puncho Using Maelle
Here’s the idea of how to use Maelle to deal 9999 damage to Ono-Puncho inExpedition 33:
The easiest way to get the 9999 damage is if Maelle uses a weapon calledMedalumthat lets her start inVirtouse Stance, giving a 200% damage bonus for the Percee Skill on top of reducing the AP cost to only 2 AP instead of 5 AP. However, toget the Medalum weapon inExpedition 33, playersmust win using Maelle in the tournamentfight against “The Stranger” (Sciel) or duel Golgra at the Chief’s House.
Thankfully, this methodstill works even without Medalum. Any of Maelle’s weapons, as long as it has enoughPower(around 250), can deal the 9999 damage. Players can also unlock Maelle’sLast ChanceSkill to enter Virtouse Stance without hitting Ono-Puncho.

Equip Maelle with theMedalum(or other weapons), and the following Lumina:

With Medalum weapon or Last Chance Skill, this method can easily deal 9999 damage, butif you use Roulette Lumina instead of Virtouse Stance, it may take a few tries, especially since there are a lot of RNGs involved. The RNG players must overcome are: the chance of applying Mark without losing too much AP (Maelle needs 5 AP to cast Percee); Roulette Lumina granting the 200% damage to replace Virtouse Stance; and hitting a Crit.
