A video of the first Infinity Castle arc movie shown exclusively at the end of the revival screenings ofDemon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Trainin theaters has been leaked online.
Recording movies in cinemas with no authorization is a crime under the “Act on the Prevention of Movie Piracy” (Movie Piracy Prevention Act). Additionally, uploading such unauthorized content to X, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and other platforms is copyright infringement.
Copyright infrigement violating both the Movie Piracy Prevention Actand the Copyright Act may be subject to imprisonment of up to 10 years, and/or a fine of up to 10 million yen.
While the note seems to escalate the tone, the account has not confirmed whether the production team will take any legal action against this leak — it seems likely that they are already trying to discover who did this in order to try to take legal action against them, but the note does not address it.
