The Light vs Darkness story arc may be over, butDestiny 2is far from done. The Fate Saga will last for several years, and Rite of the Nine serves as a prologue for the first expansion in this new story arc.The Nine have always been a mysterious groupinDestinylore, but it seems like players will get to learn a lot more about them over the next couple of years. BeforeThe Edge of Fatecomes out, players will have an opportunity to get some Nine-themed weapons as part of this limited-time event, along with a few cosmetics.
All Rite of the Nine Weapons in Destiny 2
There are 12 weapons in total that can be earned during Rite of the Nine. All 12 are reprised weaponsfrom Prophecy, Spire of the Watcher, andGhosts of the Deep. The weapons are as follows:
Ghosts of the Deep
Spire of the Watcher
Cold Comfort
Not only do these weapons have a unique new appearance, but they also have a new Origin Trait that you can choose called Gravity Well. This Origin Trait causes your weapon to pull ammo toward you whenever you reload.
There are also three different versions of each weapon. There is the normal version, the Adept version, and the Adept version with a shiny visual effect. Weapons drop from the dungeons, but you can also obtain them from the chest next to the Emissary of the Nine. Each time you open the chest, it will cost 250 Nonary Manifold. Nonary Manifold can be obtained in Rite of the Nine dungeons and also from completing bounties.
At the social space for this event, you can attune to one of the twelve weapons to increase your chances of obtaining it. This also includes weapons you get from the chest.
Make sure you only attune to weapons that are available to the currently active dungeon. If you try to attune to a weapon that is available in Prophecy while Spire of the Watcher is the active dungeon, you will not benefit from the attunement. Only weapons from the currently active dungeon will drop from the chest, so be careful to avoid wasting your Nonary Manifold.
All Cosmetic Rewards in Rite of the Nine
Weapons are not the only thing you can obtain in Rite of the Nine. There are several cosmetics that you can get as well. For each dungeon, there is an emblem you can obtain if you get a gold rating on each encounter. You can also get an emblem for completing all weapon quests.
Finally, there isa new title/seal you can obtain called ETERNAL. This title is unlocked by completing all Triumphs associated with the seal, and if you pull this off, you get a shader called Astrograph.
