Relativism is an Exotic cloak inDestiny 2that lets Prismatic Hunters wield the powers of two different Exotic armor pieces simultaneously. This greatly broadens the range of buildcrafting for the Prismatic subclass, and players who are lucky with their drops can potentially make extremely powerful builds for their character.
Unlikeother Exotic armor pieces inDestiny 2, Relativism (and its counterparts for other classes) drops with randomized perks, making the actual buildcrafting part more difficult than usual. In this guide, we’ll be covering how to get Relativism as well as some of the best possible perk combos that you should be looking out for.
How to Get Relativism in Destiny 2
Much like the other Exotic class items, players will need to finishthe Dual Destiny missionin order to unlock Relativism as part of their Collections. This is a relatively difficult mission that requires perfect coordination between two players. It cannot be done solo or in a fireteam of three.
Once you do finish Dual Destiny, you’ll be able tobuy Relativism from Xur at the Tower, assuming he has it on sale. Otherwise, you can complete Dual Destiny again, or justhunt for chests in the Pale Heart.
The completion of Dual Destiny is a hard requirement. If you haven’t finished the mission yet, Exotic class items will neither drop from chests nor be purchasable from Xur.
Relativism God Rolls
The best rolls for Relativism are, well, relative to each player. Certain perk combos work best with certain builds, after all. If you’re looking for recommendations or somegeneral-use perk combos, here are a few rolls for you to consider:
Effect
Caliban + Liar
Powered melee final blows trigger an Ignition and allow you to perform a powerful Arc counterpunch. Excellent formelee Hunter builds.
Dragon + Coyote
Gain an additional Dodge charge; dodging reloads all your weapons and increases weapon handling for a short duration. Good for PvP.
Assassin + Gyrfalcon
Powered melee Final Blows and finishers grant Invisibility. When breaking Invisibility, Void weapons gain Volatile Rounds.
