Diablo 4is in a bit of a tough spot at the moment, as the game is amid a content lull after the Vessel of Hatred expansion released in late 2024, and the next major expansion isn’t slated for release until 2026. One of the major bright spots ofDiablo 4’s 2025 roadmapis the IP collaborations the game is set to receive, with the first being the crossover with the dark fantasy mangaBerserk. While players can now purchase cosmetics based onBerserkto use inDiablo 4, this collaboration comes with a major downside that could take the wind out of future crossovers' sails.

AsDiablo 4’s first non-Blizzard IP collab, the extent of thisBerserkcrossover seemed like it would set the tone for the future IP collabs listed on the game’s roadmap. While the crossover may be limited to cosmetics that players can obtain, these skins include a lot of attention to detail forBerserkfans to enjoy. However, the high price of these cosmetics holds the collaboration back from being a truly worthwhile experience, as even the most dedicatedBerserkandDiablo 4fans may think twice about opening their wallet for one of these skins.

Diablo 4’s Berserk Skin Prices Are Steep, Even for Hardcore Fans

Purchasing Every New Berserk Cosmetics Will Set Players Back a Pretty Penny

While there are someBerserkcosmetics players can earn simply by playing the game and collecting Behelits to spend on thefreeBerserkReliquary, the real meat of the collaboration withDiablo 4comes from the paid sets available for purchase withDiablo 4’s Platinum premium currency.

While it is nice thatDiablo 4offers players the chance to earn several free items, the prices for its paid cosmetics paint a worrying picture. If players wish topurchase every availableBerserkcosmetic, they would need to spend roughly $150 for the 15,000 Platinum bundle that offers a bonus 3,500 Platinum, leaving 2,000 units of the currency left over. Even on their own, each of these premium skins and cosmetic bundles costs around $28, nearly half the price of the base game alone.

Diablo 4doesn’t offer a bundle of everyBerserkcosmetic at a reduced price, so players will need to purchase each one individually at the listed prices.

Diablo 4 Fans May Want to Temper Expectations for Future IP Collabs

Diablo 4collaborating withBerserkto bring players unique new cosmetics is an exciting prospect, but the high price of these premium skins sours the experience from what would otherwise be a very welcome crossover. The game’s previouscollab withWorld of Warcraftalso followed this pricing model, so it’s not entirely unexpected thatDiablo 4’sBerserkskins would cost a similar amount. However, after two crossover events, it’s clear that futureDiablo 4collabs will likely follow this same formula, for better or for worse.

Aside from this ongoingBerserkcollaboration duringDiablo 4Season 8, the game’s 2025 roadmap indicates that another IP crossover is planned for Season 10 in Fall 2025. While Blizzard has not revealed what this collab will entail,Diablo 4players may want to keep their expectations in check, given the trend set by thisBerserkcrossover event. It’s possible that Blizzard will consider feedback from this collab when planning the crossover for Season 10, but without any indication that this will be the case, fans may want to be prepared for another round of expensive premium skins.
