Disney Dreamlight Valley’s newest season, Wonderland Whimsy, has finally introducedAlice in Wonderlandto the Valley. The addition of the Silver Age film has expandedDisney Dreamlight Valley’s character roster with a character from the back half of Walt Disney Animation Studio’s canon, which is much different from the game’s existing roster. This addition has certainly excited players, as many have requested that older films from Walt Disney Animation Studios receive more representation inDisney Dreamlight Valley. However, the theme of this update, and one of its current events, makes one Disney tie-in unlikely for the immediate future.

Of course,Disney Dreamlight Valleyis no stranger to themed events, regardless of whether these events are themed to the game’s current update or a coinciding holiday. However, one upcoming film release from the media giant would have been the perfect excuse to add more content for a character already present inDisney Dreamlight Valley.

The Cheshire Cat Chaos Event

Two charactersfromAlice in WonderlandjoinedDisney Dreamlight Valleyin the Wonderland Whimsy update: the titular Alice and the Cheshire Cat. The wacky mishaps the Cheshire Cat causes inAlice in Wonderlandare the direct inspiration for the new Cheshire Cat Chaos event, which began on May 7 and will end on May 20. Throughout the event, paw prints began to pop up inside the realms. Players can remove these paw prints using the Watering Can, which will in turn complete Dreamlight Tasks. They will then be rewarded withAlice in Wonderlandfurniture items. Cracks are also appearing across the Valley thanks to the event, which players can resolve by digging with their shovel. These cracks award players unique memories and furniture pieces.

There are fourquests tied to Cheshire CatChaos: “Calmer of Chaos,” “Clean Your Room!,” “Jungle Bungles,” and “More Than a Mirage.” The first quest has players remove cracks in the Valley, while the latter three require players to remove paw prints from the Toy Story, Lion King, and Aladdin Realms respectively. This means that players must have Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Simba, Nala, Jasmine, and Aladdin in order to complete the Cheshire Cat Chaos event. But the star of Disney’s upcoming film isn’t needed for players hoping to put an end to the Cheshire Cat’s antics. Instead, players will have to play with Stitch on their own time.

Lilo & Stitch Hits Theaters Soon

The live-action adaptation of Walt Disney Animation Studios’Lilo & Stitchreleases on May 23to kick off Memorial Day Weekend. Stitch is one of Disney’s most recognizable icons, with merchandise and content for the cuddly and chaotic alien remains abundant. Surprisingly, Stitch was not available duringDisney Dreamlight Valley’s beta or at its initial launch. Instead, the lovable alien was added in the Mission in Uncharted Space Update (v.1.2). In fairness, this was only the second updateDisney Dreamlight Valleyhad ever received, ultimately making Stitch an early addition to the hit simulation game. Nevertheless, it appears as thoughDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas held back on overstuffing itself with Stitch content, but perhaps Gameloft and Disney are showing too much restraint.

The live-action adaptation ofLilo & Stitchreleases in theaters only three days after the Cheshire Cat Chaos event is set to conclude. While this still leaves some possibility forDisney Dreamlight Valleyto have a Stitch-themed event, three days is a very narrow window of time. Perhaps new Stitch-themed items will be added to the game’s Premium Shop. After all,Disney Dreamlight Valleydid a similar move around May 4, adding several bundlesin celebration ofStar WarsDay. It’s unfortunate that Stitch may not get his time in the sun this time around, but as one of Disney’s most beloved characters, Stitch will probably get more time underDisney Dreamlight Valley’s spotlight sometime in the future.
