Disneyland announced thattheMillennium Falcon: Smugglers Runattraction will get some updates on June 22, 2025, the same release date as theupcomingThe Mandalorian & Grogumovie. In the updated iteration of the Galaxy’s Edge ride, players will team up with Mando and Grogu to track down former Imperial officers and pirates in a new adventure created using Unreal Engine 5.

Disneyland announced that the Engineer role will be able to pick the crew’s destination, choosing between adventures on Bespin, Endor (the second Death Star), or Coruscant. Engineers will also be able to communicate with Grogu during the mission, givig the somewhat-maligned role more interactivity than ever before.
In addition, Disney has confirmed that the BDX Droids now at Tokyo Disney Resort will later makestops at Disney World Resortand Disneyland Paris soon.

While fans might have criticisms of the attraction and the choices made, this could be the shot in the arm that Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run detractors have been looking for.
Galaxy’s Edge has slowly been incorporating modernStar Warsstorylines with the additions of Ahsoka and Luke Skywalker, and now this Mandalorian and Grogu overlay will further expand the land’s scope. Given the popularity of Mandalorian and the hyper surrounding the 2026 film, it’s safe to assume that Smuggler’s Run will get a lot more attention next year.
