About Dragon Ball DAIMA
Toriyama’s Final Project
Dragon Ball DAIMA wasinitially announced at New York Comic Con in October 23, cited as part of the franchise’s 40th anniversary celebrations. Series author Akira Toriyama penned the story and character designs for the main cast, all of whom were reverted to childish forms as part of a conspiracy from the then yet-to-be-explored Demon Realm that had been referenced in the series from the early days.
The series was directed by Yoshitaka Yashima, with Aya Komaki as series director, Yūko Kakihara on series composition, and art direction by Maya Kasai. The original cast from the franchise reprised their roles, with the English Dub hitting fans right in the nostalgia asStephanie Nadolny returned to voice kid Goku once moreafter over a decade of absence from the franchise.
