Dragon Ballfans have a new must-have manga collection: a complete boxed set of theDragon Ballmanga series with double covers illustrated by renowned mangaka such as Masashi Kishimoto (Naruto), Eiichiro Oda (One Piece), Koyoharu Gotoge (Demon Slayer), Gege Akuta (Jujutsu Kaisen) and many more legendaryShonen Jumpartists.
The illustrations originally began as part of a project to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the franchise, but it was later revealed that they would be featured in an amazing box set that everyDragon Ballfan now wants to own.
Great News For Dragon Ball Fans On Goku Day
For 42 months, 42 renowned mangaka made their own versions of the cover of aDragon Ballvolume — every month from August 2021 to January 2025, a new special cover was unveiled. This project was calledDragon Ball Super Gallery, and it was part of the celebration of the40th anniversary of theDragon Ballfranchiseorganized bySaikyo Jump.
At the end of 2024, it was revealed that these special covers would be part of aspecialDragon Ballmanga box set, with dual covers for each volume (one cover is the original, and the other is the version by a famous mangaka). On Goku Day (May 9),they opened preorders for the complete box set, which will close on August 3. The box will be released on June 05, 2025. The artists who drew each cover include people like Masashi Kishimoto and Eiichiro Oda:
The box set will include the Japanese version of the manga, and there is no information about an English release of this set. The estimated price is 31,800 yen (including taxes), about $219.
When Will Dragon Ball Super Return?
Unfortunately, there has been no concrete news aboutDragon Ball Superreturning from hiatus anytime soon. Some fans were expecting that they would give an update on the series on Goku Day, but it seems that they will have to wait a little longer. Since Toyotaro previously confirmed that the series has not been canceled, fans can rest assured that it will return at some point.
DB Superfinished the Super Hero Saga before it went on hiatus, and there is reason to believe that it will begin the long-awaited Black Frieza arc when it resumes serialization — and many expect it to be the final arc of the story, and it has the potential to bethe bestDragon Ballarc ever. Of course, Toyotaro could introduce another arc before he moves on to the Black Frieza saga.
