Amazing Stories Are On The Horizon
Upcoming Story Arcs
Broly Arc, Moro Arc, Granolah the Survivor Arc, Super Hero Arc
Notable New Characters
Broly, Moro, Granolah, Gamma 1&2
Since the Tournament of Power ended, and season 1 ofDragon Ball Superalong with it, fans were left craving more of the story. The manga continued the narrative, but before it could, the incredibleBrolymovie was released in 2018 whichfinally made the fan-favorite villain canonas a far more sympathetic character who eventually joined the heroes. Just like with theBattle of GodsandResurrection Ffilms, this movie would also likely be made into a story arc for season 2.
I’m stoked to get even stronger!
Moreover, the main story arcs from the manga are the Moro and Granolah the Survivor arcs, both of which tell incredible and personal stories that tie very well into the overall narrative. The Moro arc deals with a terrifying new villain whom the heroes must use everything in their arsenals to defeat, whereas the Granolah arc shows the sins of the Saiyan’s past coming back to haunt Goku and Vegeta. Both of these stories are amazing and are some of the most beloved in the entireDragon Ball Superseries.
Amazing New Transformations And Power-Ups
The Strongest States That Characters Have Reached
Since the Tournament of Power showed the heroes fighting against the multiverse’s most powerful characters, it was quite clear that the threats faced from hereon out were only going to be stronger. To compensate, the heroes themselves have unlockedawesome new techniques and transformationsthat are sure to break the internet once they finally get animated and put on the screens. Most have already been shown before, but the most notable ones, being Vegeta’s Ultra Ego and Frieza’s Black form, will create quite the splash.
A God of Destruction taught me that power derived solely from instinct is unbounded!
More than this, however, these forms and techniques show the new direction that the series is going in, which brings up all the characters to be at a relative level of power rather than just having Goku be at the center of everything. This is an amazing decision as it gives everyone a chance to shine with their new powers, showing just how much they have grown since their last appearances.
Some Of The Best Character Moments In The Franchise
Many Character Arcs Reach Their Peak
A point that goes perfectly with the previous one, the second season ofSuperpromises some of the best moments in the arcs of many characters. The best example of this isVegeta in the Granolah arc, where he is forced to come face to face with the evil man that he used to be as the horrors wrought upon the innocents of Planet Cereal by the Saiyans are shown right in front of him. Although he tries to revert to this kind of person to make full use of his Ultra Ego, he ultimately cannot.
Apologies, Lord Beerus… I couldn’t revert to the callous, unfeeling man I once was.
This shows just how much he has grown over the years, which is just as true for many of the other characters as well. Although Goku’s arc isn’t as deep, it also shows him coming to terms with his Saiyan heritage, which is shown to him through Bardock’s actions from many decades ago. This was another amazing tie-in to the story, as Bardock is finally brought in through a flashback, where he shows the noble side of the Saiyan race. The manga continuity after the events of the Tournament of Power is full of moments like this.
The Best Action In The Entirety Of TheDragon BallFranchise
Amazing Fights In Season 2
Action and fighting are the bread and butter of theDragon Ballfranchise. So, fans would be happy to know that the action that awaits them in the upcoming arcs is some of the best in the entire series, showing both the heroes and the villains unlocknew and powerful transformationsor techniques to use against their opponents. These opponents, in turn, must then adapt to this and use their own powers to stand a chance.
Meet Black Frieza. Achieving this form took plenty of toil, I’ll have you know.
The fights here are also pretty unique in terms of what’s been shown before inDragon Ball, with battles taking place against enemies who assimilate themselves into entire planets or chases that take place across the entire universe. The action is incredibly varied and amazing to behold, which will definitely keep fans engaged and on the edge of their seats the entire time.
