The video showcases the Set of Artorias, an iconic armor set that originally appeared inDark Souls: Artorias of the Abyss, the game’s only DLC, released in 2012. Players could obtain the set by defeating Artorias the Abysswalker, the DLC’s main boss. Now,Soulsfans have the chance to wear the legendary armor once again, this time in a brand-new setting and with significantly enhanced visuals. And for longtime fans ofDark Souls, the Set of Artorias isn’t the onlynostalgic element making a return inElden Ring Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign Will Feature the Set of Artorias and the Gaping Dragon
During FromSoftware’s Spring Game Event, fans were also treated to a livestreamed boss fight featuringone ofDark Souls’most iconic creatures, the Gaping Dragon. Although it was an optional encounter in the original game, the Gaping Dragon left a lasting impression thanks to its grotesque design and its nearly minute-long introduction cutscene.
The Famitsu Japan team, who attended FromSoftware’s event, also reported that the company revealed anew character forElden Ring Nightreign. The eighth warrior is tentatively referred to as “Avenger,” which is a direct translation of the Japanese title and may be changed in the English version. However, no further details, such as gameplay or abilities, have been shared.
