How to Beat Ellie in The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
When players finally battle Ellie inthe Confrontation chapterofThe Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, it’s not going to be easy at all. The boss fight is divided into three phases, with Ellie bringing out a new weapon to take Abby down in each one. Let’s look over all the phases of the Ellie boss fight and see how Abby can survive this encounter.
Phase One
After a scuffle behind the theater’s curtains, both Ellie and Abby fall to the ground. However,Ellie is quick enough to grab the handgunand put Abby at a disadvantage. Since Abby doesn’t have access to any weapons throughout this boss fight, players will have to rely on their listen mode ability a lot. Firstly, stay behind cover at all times and track Ellie’s movements throughout the area with the listen mode.
Once her back is turned, slowly approach her and press the “Square (PS5)” or “X (Xbox)” button to quickly start punching her. It’ll lead to phase two of the fight.
Phase Two
During phase two,Ellie somehow finds a shotgunto use against Abby. However, this phase also operates the same as the first one. The only difference is, there are throwable objects in the area that Abby can grab and distract Ellie.
So, following the strategy of the first phase, carefully navigate through the area and try toaim the throwable object directly at Ellie. Once the object hits her, she’ll stagger for a couple of moments, allowing Abby a good opportunity to close in and deliver blows to her.
Phase Three
The final phase is the trickiest, asEllie has gone full hunter mode with a bow and some traps. In addition to the new weapons, Ellie will also crouch-sprint across the area, making her swift and harder to see. You’ll need to carefully see the pattern in Ellie’s movements as they’ll randomly stop at certain points to canvas the area. When that happens, approach from behind her and throw a bottle or grab her to finally end the boss fight.
This is how players can beat Ellie inThe Last of Us Part 2without much trouble.
