For example, if you go into a Poison encampment, you’ll find a Perfumer boss, while a Fire encampment may be home to several Flame Chariots.

Tunnel Entrance

Tunnels are one of the few guaranteed sources of Smithing Stones inNightreign. Pay attention to the locations of these map markers if you have a good weapon, especially one with a boss weakness that you’re able to upgrade to take into the final Nightlord fight. Typically contains some enemies and a boss encounter deep underground.

Castle

Citadels abounding with danger. These strongholds should only be challenged by those whose skill can equal their bravery.

A Field Boss is a boss that roams out in the open world, waiting for Nightfarers to stumble across its location. You can target these bosses, once you have reached a high enough level to comfortably take them on, for immense XP and great item rewards.

Evergaol

Cells holding prisoners whose seals weaken over time.

Like in the base game, an Evergaol can only be unlocked if you have a Stonesword Key, which is sold by Merchants and can drop from a variety of sources (particularly bosses in Tunnels). Defeat the boss that is summoned to get lots of XP and a choice of items or bonuses.

Township

Long-deserted places of safety. Merchants with rare goods are known to operate from these places.

A small village that is usually home to a Merchant. Merchants sell a variety of goods and are almost always worth stopping by just to check their inventory. Almost allNightreignMerchants sell Smithing Stones and basic consumables alongside a small selection of equipment and other gear.

If you areplayingNightreignsolo, Merchants also sell a Wending Grace, which will revive you from defeat.

Church

Houses of worship visited by pilgrims. Sacred Flask uses can be increased in these locations.

A small Church that always contains an upgrade for your Sacred Flask. Visit a Church and interact with the altar to improve your Flask uses by 1. Every Expedition has at least three Churches that players can find, and because healing is so scarce, it should be a high priority to get all three before the third night.

Sorcerer’s Rise

Towers in which sorcerers experiment with their spellcraft, their findings often encrypted by cipher. Very occasionally you may come across a tower in which a sorcerer from the distant past once resided.

A Sorcerer’s Rise is a tower that usually has a sealed door. To unlock the way up and obtain the special choice of reward at the top, you must find a way to remove the seal. Look for anything out of the ordinary nearby (such as an Imp Statue, a floating sigil, a moving tree trunk, or anything else that stands out) and hit it to unlock the seal. If the seal is already open, your target is on the inside.

Spectral Hawk Tree

Trees where spectral hawks rest their wings. Warriors can take to the skies via the spectral road. You can find these roads marked on the map.

On the world map,Nightreignplayers should see six Spectral Hawk trees and six blue wispy lines encircling the middle of Limveld. If you go to a Spectral Hawk Tree and interact with it, you will be lifted high into the air and carried along the spectral road associated with that tree.

Pay careful attention to the direction each tree will take you and you can use these as a way to travel around Limveld faster.

Spiritstream

Energy that gushes forth from great vents in the land, allowing those who attune with its flow to reach great heights.

LikeSpiritspring jumps in the base game, Spritstreams allow the Nightfarers to leap up to enormous heights and scale otherwise unscalable cliffs and tall areas. you’re able to control which direction you travel by facing your intended direction, or by using the movement stick while in mid-air.

Chests containing rare and precious objects, hidden such that others would not find them.
