Fantasy Life iis a massive RPG experience with an abundance of unique worlds, dozens of NPCs to meet, and hundreds of quests to complete. What makes it quite unique is the Life concept in the game, which allows the player to differentiate their experience each time withunique profession-related missionsand make progress in a different skill tree.

Unlocking skills isan important part of the gameplay loopinFantasy Life i, and it matters which skills you unlock first. Sometimes, a bad purchase in the skill tree could force the player to spend a longer time grinding for Life level-ups, and the purchased skills might not help with defeating enemies. That’s when having an option to reset skills will come in handy.

How To Respec Skills In Fantasy Life I

The ability to respec skills is not available right away inFantasy Life i; players do need to make some story progression first. After completingQuest 8 in Chapter 3, theGuild Officewill be added toBase Campin thePresenttimeframe. Inside the Guild Office, there is an NPC calledLucy Lips, which is basically a flower sitting on the counter. She is the one who will respec your skills and return all the spent skill points to you to invest them again from the beginning.

However, there is a catch. Lucy Lips doesn’t offer free services. The player mustpay 10,000 Dosh(in-game coins) every time they want to respec, and that is not a cheap price, at least not earlier in the game. So, it’s recommended to be careful with your skill unlocks.

Remember, with this price, you’re able to only reset skill points for one Life, not all of them.

If you are low on Dosh to do a respec, the best way to earn said currency is to either focus on Story Quests or Personal Requests. Talking with the NPCs that appear with a white chatbox on the map will offer quests that pay Dosh in return. The rewards for the quest can vary from a few hundred coins to a few thousand.

Earlier in the game, it’s not worth it to respec, though. The game’s skill treehas been designed in a way that prevents players from focusing on a certain branch. So, players must spend points on each branch of the skill tree to unlock the next abilities. However, later in the game, the point requirements increase for high-level skills, and that’s when a respec becomes a logical option, as covering a mistake will require hours of grinding to level up again. By then, players are expected to be rich enough to have 10,000 Dosh to pay for a respec.
