When starting a new career inFarming Simulator 25, players don’t always need to own all that the game has to offer. Purchasing machinery usually depends on the type of farm players own and the type of crops they choose to grow. However, a few machines are always needed regardless of the condition.
A tractor, for example, is a must-have tool for any kind of crop, and the same goes for a truck. Although players might be able to use some trailers with their tractor to move things around for a while, it can replace a truck, especially later in the game, where progression opens up a lot of new opportunities.
8International CV Series
Base Price: $67,500
This small truck cannot carry trailers, but it’s a good choice for the beginning of a farming career, especially for those who start from scratch. Although the CV Series has a more powerful engine than the Lizard Dragon, that’s not enough to put it ahead of the tiny opponent.
CV Series provides more extension options, such as Flat, Boxed, and Tipper, but earlier in the game, it’s only the Tipper that matters the most for players, unless someone is investing simultaneously in aside businessrather than farming. And when it comes to the Tipper size, the CV Series only has one option equal to the base version of Lizard Dragon (3,500 L). However, the latter comes with a second, bigger Tipper as well, which is well worth the price, and still ends up cheaper than the base CV.
7Lizard Dragon
Base Price: $45,000
Despite its tiny appearance, Lizard Dragon is a mighty starter truck that comes at a reasonable price and is quite beneficial for transportingraw cropsor final products between the farm and the silos. Although both fuel capacity and engine power are not even close to those of the CV Series, Lizard Dragon comes with a secondary Tipper option with a capacity of 7,600 L, over twice as big as that of the International CV Series.
This extra feature will only increase the price tag for Lizard Dragon by $4,000, which is almost nothing regarding its value. A bigger extension means the players need to travel less between the farm and the silo, which saves a lot of time and helps with faster progression.
6Mack Anthem 6x4
Base Price: $93,500
Mack Anthem 6x4 is a modern truck coming with multiple customization options at a medium-range price. However, the weak engine doesn’t justify the price tag. The truck looks cool, but there is no big difference between the Mack Anthem and a quite cheap truck like the International Transtar 2 Eagle.
If a player has already accumulated around $90,000 to get a truck, Mack Anthem is not a reasonable choice. It’s best to either look for cheaper options or collect some more cash and buy a Volvo or a Super-Liner at the very least.
5Volvo FH Electric
Base Price: $145,000
Looking at the price, the Volvo FH Electric is not a reasonable choice. The problem is that FH Electric is more expensive than FH 16, while not necessarily better. A fully upgraded version of FH Electric will reach an engine power of 660 HP, which is quite close to the base version of FH 16, but it will cost around $200,000.
Unless someone just gets FH Electric for the sake of being zero-emission and nature-friendly, there is no real reason to buy this truck over the FH 16. Even design-wise, the trucks are quite similar to each other.
4Volvo VNX 300
Base Price: $149,500
The most expensive truck inFarming Simulator 25is only superior in one single aspect, and that’s fuel capacity. Volvo VNX 300 doesn’t beat FH 16 in anything other than the fuel tank. For those who don’t like to refuel repeatedly, VNX 300 might be a good option, but still, having a 300 L bigger fuel tank doesn’t justify its purchase.
When it comes to the looks, Volvo VNX 300 has a more American style than FH 16, and that could be one reason for some players to pay the price. The base version of thevehicleis still more powerful than FH Electric, but it has no options for an engine upgrade.
3Mack Super-Liner 6x4
Base Price: $110,000
Players who don’t have the patience orbudgetto get an FH 16, but still need something powerful enough to carry any kind of trailer, will find Mack Super-Liner a decent deal. The truck comes at a reasonable price, and it has a reliable engine power, though no upgrades are available for it.
The biggest downside of Super-Liner is its small fuel tank, which will require the players to refuel more often than other trucks. Now, that may not bother every player, but it’s still a process that consumes time and budget.
With that said, Super-Liner is a pretty good choice over other options like FH Electric or Mack Anthem, though it might not have a modern look.
2International Transtar 2 Eagle
One of the best early trucks that can carry trailers for players who are growing their farm and don’t find the Lizard Dragon efficient anymore. That’s when a truck comes in handy, and for those who don’t want to break the bank but still get the job done, International Transtar 2 Eagle is the way to go.
It’s quite fascinating that this giant truck comes at the same price as Lizard Dragon, and it still comes out swinging from most of the tests. The only downside is that when carrying trailers with a weight of over 10 T while fully loaded, Transtar 2 Eagle struggles when moving uphill, and if the slope is too harsh, it might not manage to make it. But the good news is that few trailers exist that are over 10 T.
1Volvo FH 16
Base Price: $137,000
By a large margin, the Volvo FH 16 is the best truck inFarming Simulator 25. It’s an excellent vehicle to carry over trailers, just like it is in real life. Even with the heaviest trailer attached while fully loaded, FH 16 still comes out swinging.
It comes with the most powerful base engine, but it can still be upgraded even more. The good news is that FH 16 is still a lot cheaper than thelarge tractors, and the vehicle is not even the most expensive truck yet, while being the most powerful one. FH 16 is a perfect purchase for anyone who can afford it, and they will never need another truck anymore.
