Housing inFinal Fantasy 14remains one of the hottest commodities in the game, with each server having a limited number of home plots available for both players and free companies to vie for. Since theEndwalkerexpansion, every housing plot inFinal Fantasy 14that becomes available for any reason is thensubject to a housing lottery drawing, requiring millions of Gil per entry. Eligibility depends on which ward and server the home plot is on. While most housing plots are available to individual bidders and free companies, some plots are exclusive to either group. Lottery entries that don’t win have their Gil returned.

Five months afterFinal Fantasy 14hit the pause button on automatic housing demolitions, the process will be restarted soon.According to a Lodestone post,Final Fantasy 14’s automatic housing demolition timers will resume on Friday, June 6, at approximately 4:00 AM Eastern. Ergo, players on the Aether, Primal, Crystal, and Dynamis data centers in North America have three weeks to re-enter any individual properties or free company homes they are associated with. After doing so, the respective housing timers will reset to 45 days. Since the current housing timer moratorium was enacted on the evening of January 9 due to the California wildfires, players who have entered their virtual homes in Eorzea after the pause was enacted are covered.

When Will Final Fantasy 14 Housing Demolitions Resume?

Final Fantasy 14previously removed the housing timer moratoriumon January 8, following a pause enacted by the destruction caused by Hurricane Helene. The timer was then paused a day later due to the California wildfires. Once the pause is lifted, any timers not set back to 45 days will resume from where they were frozen. Square Enix will notify players facing demolition with a notice approximately two weeks before the housing plot is erased and subsequently put up for lottery bids.

The housing demolition timers will resume duringthe upcoming Make It Rain Campaign, which will run inFinal Fantasy 14from May 19 to June 11. How many housing plots will open once the moratorium lifts remains to be seen.
