The Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region inGenshin Impactwas originally deserted after being largely destroyed in an explosion long ago. Because of the explosion, multiple Allogravity-Condensed Water Bodies materialized and can be seen floating in the air.
Despite the looming danger, exploring the ruins proves fruitful, as numerous treasure chests are concealed in both exposed and hidden locations. Aside from the Primogems that can be obtained from the chests, Travelers can also obtain them byoffering Hydroculus in the sub-area to the Statue of the Sevenin Fontaine. In total, there are40 Hydroculus to be collected in the Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region.

Teleport to thewaypoint north of the Experimental Field Generatorboss and head southwest towards a teleportation bubble. It will bring you to the top of the hill for the Hydroculus.

From the previous spot, head to theruin on the north, and you can find a Hydroculus below a stone slab.

Keep goingsouthwest and climb the hillto get the Hydroculus at the top.

Teleport to the previous waypoint, and this time,head south until you reach the Experimental Field Generator boss. In the ruins, climb on the side of the building to get the Hydroculus.

Keep going south until you see a tall tower. Then, glide to the Hydroculus at the highest point of the tower from the top of the mountain.

Use theteleport waypoint southeast of the Experimental Field Generator boss. Then, walk south a little to see a Hydroculus on top of a pedestal behind a barrier. You need to find 2 nearby Seelies to remove the barrier.

From the previous spot,head westand enter the hole in the ground to reach a locked door. You need to getan item called Arkhium Lumeniteto unlock the door and get the Hydroculus within.

From the previous spot, leave the hidden room andhead northeast towards a small abandoned ruin. The Hydroculus can be seen on top of the pillar.

On that high ground,walk west and jump down to the top of the buildingfor the Hydroculus on the roof.

Climb back to the mountain andhead west to the tall buildingnext to the Experimental Field Generator boss. Use the building to jump on the broken highway and proceed until the end to get the Hydroculus.

Reverse back and glide downto the next Hydroculus on the broken highway.

Glide to thenext broken highway on the westand continue walking on top of it to reach the top.

From the previous spot,dive into the waterto the southeast and swim until you reach the Hydroculus on top of a pillar.

Swim to the westuntil you see another Hydroculus in the middle of a broken pillar.

Now, teleport to thewaypoint east of the Statue of the Sevenin this region. Then, head southeast towards a small house. You can find the Hydroculus on top of the house.

Return to the waypoint andhead west towards a demolished wallto get the Oculus behind it.

From the previous spot,dive into the water and swim eastto find a breakable stone on the seafloor. Finda nearby Xenochromatic Jellyfish’s Abilityand use it to explode the stone and open a hidden underwater ruin. Swim further inside to get the Hydroculus.

Continue exploring the underwater ruin, and you will start a hidden’Treacherous Light of the Depths' quest. While completing the quest, you may access another Hydorculus in the ruin.

Once again, teleport to thewaypoint east of the Statue of the Sevenand head north towards a huge Hilichurl camp. At the center, there is a machinery of sorts, and you’re able to find the Hydroculus between the claws of the machine.

Go to theStatue of the Sevenin Fontaine Research Institute andglide northto the highway. Then, carefully walk on the broken highway to get the Hydroculus.

From the previous spot,glide downwards in the direction of southfor another Hydroculus between the broken pillars.

Now, teleport to theCentral Laboratory Ruins waypointsand enterthe Condensed Water Bodyright in front of you. Inside the water cube, swim straight to the window in the ruins to get the Hydroculus.

Return to theprevious waypointand hop over to the top of the Condensed Water Body in front of you. From here,climb the floating debristo reach the Hydroculus at the highest area.

From the previous spot,glide east to reach a highwayand walk to the end to get the Oculus.

Use theCentral Laboratory Ruins waypointsonce again and dive in the water at the bottom to see an Echoing Conch in front of a ruin. Near the Echoing Conch is a Xenochromatic Blubberbeast’s ability, and you canuse the ability to hit the crystalinside the locked gate. This will unlock the gate, and you can swim further inside to reach the Hydroculus.

Return to the previous waypoint andhead north before jumping downto the floating highway. From here, walk until the end to reach the Hydroculus.

From the previous spot,glide northeast to the ruinsdown below for a Hydroculus locked behind a gate. Complete the puzzle by placing the portable Energy device inside the institute in front of the locked gate.

Continue walking north, following the path to reach another building. Then, climb the tower to the top to get the Oculus.

Teleport to theNew Fontaine Research Institute waypoint. Then, climb to the second floor before gliding over to the center of the banner toget the Hydroculus on top.

Walk out of the institute to the northeast, and you can find another Hydroculus between the broken roads.

Continue heading northeast until yousee a Hydro Amber. Destroy the amber, and a teleportation bubble will appear and help you get the Hydroculus floating in the air.

Walk south towards another buildingand jump over to the lower level of the ruins for the Hydroculus.

From the previous spot,head southeast and climb the mountainto the top to find a Luxurious Chest and a Hydroculus beside it.

Teleport to awaypoint northwest of New Fontaine Research Instituteand head west to the pier before climbing to the top.

Return to the previous waypoint andfollow the path to the east, leading to a cave. Inside the cave, you will start the’Road to the Singularity' 1uestto unlock all the rooms. In the center of the cave, you will get a Hydroculus on top of a mechanism.

From the previous spot,head south and jump down to the level below. Follow the path and look to the left to find a tunnel connected to the sea. Dive in the water and you can get the last Hydroculus.
