The theory is based on a few key factors, such as the new season starting on the anniversary of Chapter 1 Season 4, which was also superhero-themed. HYPEX stated that there were 18 original superhero skins included in arecentFortnitesurvey, many of which could be featured in a future battle pass. The popular leaker also claimed that a new version of Superman will be coming to the game during the next season, which may also include a mythic item with special abilities. It’s expected that the new variant of the hero will be in collaboration with James Gunn’s upcomingSupermanfilm, which is scheduled to make its debut July 11.
Fortnite’s Next Season May Be Superhero-Themed
HYPEX has also claimed that superhero-themed boons were found within the game’s files after itsrecentStar Warsupdate. According to the leaker, the symbols on the boons matched the symbols found on the superhero survey skins. D3NNI_ytalso pointed outthat some of the survey cosmetics looked like the same character, meaning that the superhero skins may have casual variants meant to conceal their true identity.
ShiinaBR and HYPEX also recently claimed thatpets could be coming toFortnitein the near future. While companions were previously available as back blings, they were few and far between. According to the leakers, these new pets would actually follow the player around as a new type of cosmetic. Many fans were excited to hear about the new companions, but others weren’t completely sold on the idea. Numerous gamers pointed out that adding pets to the game could create visual clutter in the middle of fights, which might prove to be problematic.
