Summary

Leaks uncovered in the latest update suggest that Psycho Bandit, theBorderlands 3skin, is returning toFortniteafter a five-year break. While collaborations are quite common inFortnitenowadays, that was not the case before. Gamers now expect to get at least one collab skin in the Battle Pass and new Item Shop collaborations every week or so, but a few years ago, it was a rare event, making it a much bigger deal in comparison.

There are certain franchises and brands that have made it into the game more than once.Fortnitehas released a dozenDragon Ballskins, the roster of Marvel comic book characters keep increasing every month, andStar Warshas also been a particularly popular one, with cosmetics making it onto Battle Passes. However, there are other collaborations that were a one-time thing only, which is exciting for fans if they get to acquire the cosmetic when they’re around, but if they miss it, they don’t know how long they’ll have to wait before getting a chance to purchase them.

The Mayhem set - aBorderlands 3collab with several cosmetics - is the perfect example of this, as it’snot been seen inFortnitefor nearly five years. However, as soon as patch v34.40 became available, leakers started digging through the game files, and they discovered that Psycho Bandit could be returning toFortnitesoon. The Psycho Bandit skin was initially given away to players who ownedBorderlands 3on Epic Games but was later sold in the Item Shop. According to HYPEX, a known leaker in theFortnitecommunity, theBorderlandsset has been updated so it can return to the shop soon.

When Was the Borderlands 3 Skin Last Released in the Item Shop?

While some players are happy to see that Psycho Bandit will be leaving the rarestFortniteskins list, others are mourning its exclusivity. Very few skins have been missing from the game for this long, especially inFortnite’s Gaming Legends Series. Some gamers have had their eye on other skins in this series, such as Kratos. At the start of Chapter 5, Kratos got updated a few times, and the community was sure that this meant he would be returning. However, it has been over a year since these updates were made, and he still hasn’t come back.

The fact that theKratos skin was updated in aFortnitepatchlast year but not released may leave fans doubtful that Psycho Bandit and the rest of the bundle could be seen again anytime soon, but they should still keep an eye on the shop in the upcoming weeks. Nevertheless, gamers should start saving up their V-Bucks just in case. Psycho Bandit is sold as part of the Psycho Bundle; it includes the Claptrap back bling and the Psycho Buzz Axes, and it costs 2,000 V-Bucks.
