Forza Horizon 5has a brand-new livery for one of its fastest cars in celebration of the popular racing sim being on both Xbox and PlayStation 5. The 2024 Lamborghini Revuelto now has a special design that features both Xbox’s green and PlayStation’s blue coloring inForza Horizon 5thanks to a reveal by Xbox and Lamborghini.
Gamers around the world were largely shocked when it was announced thatForza Horizon 5would be coming to PlayStation 5, considering theForzafranchise has been exclusive to Xbox since its inception just over 20 years ago. Released on April 29,Forza Horizon 5has become quite a big hit on PS5, with the game reportedly seeing a surge of new players to the tune of about 700,000 since launching.
The addition of the Lamborghini Revuelto came rather recently, as part ofForza Horizon 5’s hefty Horizon Realms update, which also includes other reward cars, returning Evolving World locations, modes, accolades, and more. Players must first unlock the Revuelto, which is achieved by completing the Horizon Stadium Circuit. After doing so, the collaborative livery can be unlocked via the player’s Garage, with the code:687 884 132. The sleek design features a smooth gradient of Xbox green to PlayStation blue from the front to the back, with hexagonal details adding more visual interest along the sides. The team-up also yielded (viaIGN) a one-of-one, real-life version of the car.
In addition to the Revuelto, players will be able to unlock the 2023 Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato, 2018 Lotus Exige Cup 430 - certainly shaking up thebest hypercars inForza Horizon 5rankings- and the 2022 Hennessey Mammoth 6×6, an aptly named massive pickup truck. All of these vehicles are unlocked via specific challenges in Horizon Realms, although the special Xbox and PlayStation livery is limited to only the Revuelto at the moment.
More Xbox and PlayStation Collaboration
WhileForza Horizon 5’s addition to PlayStation 5 may be a surprise to some, it’s far from the first Xbox title to make the jump to the platform of its supposed rival.Sea of Thieves, Minecraft Dungeons, Psychonauts 2, andGroundedare just a few of thebest Xbox games available on PlayStation, perceived as reducing the traditional focus of developing first-party exclusives. While bringing over fewer titles than Xbox, PlayStation has made the practice a two-way street, bringing its formerly exclusiveMLB The Showfranchise to Xbox consoles in 2021, potentially painting a bright future for additional crossovers.
