Players are having a field day utilizing various glitches and exploits inElder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered.Exploits let players use mechanics placed in the game on purpose that players have found a way to exploit beyond what should normally be allowed. Glitches, on the other hand, involve breaking the game in some way to do something players should not normally be able to do.
Players can watch NPCs fire arrows at targets and then take those arrows. However, this is very slow, and players are better off spending the same amount of time making 500,000 arrows in mere moments — and then selling them tobuy all the best houses in the game.
What the Glitch/Exploit Does
Item Duplication
Allows players to continuously add double an item’s value onto the same stack. This can be used to exponentially increase the number of an item such as scrolls, arrows, soul gems, and so forth.
Permanent Enchantments
This exploit makes use of the item duplication glitch mentioned above, but allows players to select any other item. If players find a scroll that gives them an enchantment that they want to repeat indefinitely, they can use this to make an infinite amount from the usually one time only item.
Super Speed & Strength Exploit
Use the duplicate item method above to duplicate a large amount of Skooma to send the players Speed and Strength through the roof, turning them into an utter speed demon.
Unlimited Carry Capacity
Another variant of item duplication that will send players current carrying capacity value into the negatives. Allowing them to carry substantially more than they should be able to.
Sneak Skill Glitch
Players can use a specific location and NPC. Players can do this at any time in the game by returning to the prison in which they started.
Security Skill Exploit
Players will need to find a lock with more than 1 tumbler in it. Once they do, they only need to solve the first tumbler. Then, while still under the tumbler they have already completed, they can spam the button to make the game think they are continuously successfully completing more tumblers.
Speechcraft Exploit
To raise Speechcraft as fast as possible, players just need to go to any NPC and select any of the Speechcraft options in any order. This will cause the NPCs' disposition to rise and lower, giving them experience in the skill. Should the NPC become unable to use Speechcraft on, simply go to another NPC in the area.
The method of Item Duplication mentioned above will require players to have at least 3 of the items in order to work.
Do Exploits Ruin the Experience of Oblivion Remastered?
Players that overuse exploits can ruin the experience of the game. However, players that use them sparingly can actually enhance their experience. Players may not use the security skill and instead use Alteration spells. These players may run into a situation where their Intelligence is too low to use a spell they want to have for a certain part of the game.
Players can use this exploit to level up to reach this milestone, and then they can progress with the game as normal and still have the right amount of challenge. Players can also duplicate numerous lockpicks to always have something to sell when they are short on funds for a spell they really want to have.
