Now, besides growing fruits and taking care of your garden, you can also have some pets,just likePet Simulator 99. These animals aren’t just a cute addition to your farm; they also boost your crops and improve your player experience in some pretty cool ways.
Some pets will make your fruits and veggies mutate, while others will make them bigger or even give you free fruits and seeds. To get them, though, you’ll need to buy and hatch their eggs, which can cost a lot of Sheckles. So, it’s important to know which animals are worth it. If you’re looking to spend wisely,here’s a ranking of the animals inGrow a Gardenfrom least to most valuable.

Grow a Garden: All Pets Tier List
Currently,Grow a Gardenis home to101 animals,each with its own unique abilities.Think of them as walking gear. They can do stuff like turn your crops into mutated ones, water your plants, speed up sprinklers, or even search out free seeds for you.
You can only havethree animals activein your garden at a time (unless you’ve snagged more pet slots), but the good news is that any extras you hatch won’t go to waste. You can swap them in and out whenever you like for a fresh vibe or to enjoy their different perks. Here’s a simple tier list of all the animals inGrow a Garden, with reasons why some are more useful than others:
S Tier
Fruit-Stealing Pet
Right now, the best pet inGrow a Garden.It can apply a Chakra Mutation (15x value) to a fruitfrom a nearby garden, or even a Foxfire Chakra (90x value), and give it to you.
Variant Pet
Gives a guaranteedGold plantevery five minutes (worth 20x more). It’s hard to say no to that.
Mutation Pet
Activates theDisco mutationon crops (125x value) nearly every 20 minutes, with a 12.28% chance each time.
Gives free fruit every 15 minutes by cloning onefrom a neighbor’s garden.
Turns nine fruits in your garden into eitherCorrupt Chakra (15x value) or Corrupt Foxfire Chakra (90x value)variants.
Ability Cloner
Mimics the ability ofan active pet. Best when paired with other S-tier animals.
AppliesRainbow mutation(50x) to plants with five mutations every 30 minutes (skips favorited ones).
Eats one mutation from four plants andputs them all on a single fruit, preferring to bless one of your favorited plants.
Eats a mutation from a random fruit grown on your farmland and then pours it ontothree to four different fruits.
Copies a random mutation from your neighbor’s garden andtriggers it on one of your crops.
Size Booster
It’s the first animal that cangive you big petsby adding a size and weight bonus to hatched eggs.
Multiple Traits
Messes around in your garden byadding mutationslike Choc (2x), Chilled (2x), Moonlit (2x) and more to one of your fruits; it may alsogrant Sheckles, age itself, or do other activities.
Egg Giver
Can give you the egg ofa pet you just sold, meaning you may keep selling unwanted Mythicals and Divines for Mythical and Bug Eggs to try for your desired pets.
Cooldown & Mutation
Great as a support critter for Raccoon, Red Fox, Disco Bee, and more, since it fully resets a randompet’s ability cooldown. Alsoapplies the Pollinated mutation(3x value) to a nearby crop roughly every 25 minutes.
Adds theTranquil mutationto all crop types in your garden. Best used while the Corrupted andZen Eventis active.
One of the most useful pets in the 1.16.0 update. It lets your picked fruits turn intoTranquil.
Provides Corrupt mutated fruits required to complete tasks in the Corrupted event.
Seed Pet
Steals (duplicates) a plant seed from aneighbor’s farm(Seed Shop ones only).
Triggers either aGold or Rainbow mutationon fruits, boosting their value. Definitely a must-have if you’re aiming for higher stacking bonuses.
Resource Pet
Can dig upfree gear for you(i.e., Sprinklers, Lightning Rod, Night Staff) and also Sheckles.
More chance to dig up a seed than Golden Lab. Improve its ability by using Nihonzaru or giving itGold or Rainbow pet mutations.
A Tier
Digs up random seeds (Common to Divine). Perfect for farming while you’re AFK.
Clone tools from the Gear Shop(like Sprinklers, Tanning Mirrors,Magnifying Glass, and more) and seeds from the Seed Shop when making a purchase, meaning you might get two instead of one with a 1.45% chance.
Harvest Related
Best for making Sheckles, as it gives you a 6.54% chance forsummer fruitsto stay on their plants. Most of those are top-tier, like Traveler’s Fruit, Lily of the Valley, and Guanabana, so you can collect more of them when harvesting.
Ideal forfarming Pollinated Fruits(Queen Bee-like timer) andkeeping flowers after harvest, especially high-value ones like Sunflower, Moon Blossom, Purple Dahlia, and Pink Lily.
When crafting items, it maygrant you a bonus itemof the same kind.
Plant Growth Pet
Literally the best pet to use if you want multiple plants togrow fruits quickly.
Can give your crops theBurnt(4x value)or Cooked(25x value)mutationroughly every 15 minutes, with a 15.28% chance to activate. Also grants active animals an extra 0.17 experience points.
Has a 10.12% chance to grant you aChilled(2x value) orFrozen fruit(10x value) every 1.49 minutes.
Removes the Shocked mutation from a fruit and applies theStatic (8x value) mutationto four fruits in your garden. During thunderstorms, it may apply the Shocked mutation instead of Static. Favorited fruits are ignored.
Has a higher chance of grantingGold and Rainbow variantsthan the Praying Mantis (2.2% every two minutes), but its cooldown is longer in comparison. It’s a decent pick, though not as rewarding as the Mantis.
Jump Height & Mutation
Increases yourcharacter’s jump heightand flaps its wings to give three to four fruits theWindstruck Mutation(2x Value), and sometimes even theTwisted Mutation(5x Value).
Like the Cloudtouched Mutation Spray, it gives your crops theCloudtouched mutation(6x multiplier) every eight minutes, though the probability is only 15.74%.
Acts justlike a Honey Sprinkler, granting a confirmedHoneyGlazed mutation(5x value) to fruits every 25 minutes.
Lets you farm guaranteedPollinated plants(3x multiplier) faster than other bees. Aging it can reduce the timer.
Mutation & XP Booster
Sends about1,000 XPto a random pet every 11 minutes and makes afruit Wet(2x value).
Plant Growth & Harvest Related
Boostsfruit size(1.51x) and keeps Lunar and Blood Moon plants fromdisappearing after harvest(with only a 6.1% chance).
Aging Pet
Keeps your pets’Hunger Bar fullevery 13 minutes, helping them age faster and perform better (Variant pets can give higher-tier mutations, and seed diggers can find better seeds.)
When yousell fruit,it might pop back into your inventory (even mutated ones like Shocked, Gold, or Rainbow). The rarer it is, the lower the chance.
Plant Growth & Variant
Best if you have lots ofprickly fruits(i.e., Durian, Cactus, Dragon Fruit, and Pineapple) on your farm, as this critter can make them larger and increase their chances of getting Gold and Rainbow variants.
Similar to Queen Bee, but only advances pet cooldown by 1.3 minutes. Useful if you haven’t unlocked Queen Bee yet.
Inventory Pet
Used toexpand your inventory slots, letting you hold more fruits, pets, and seeds.
XP Booster
A situational critter that gains6.36 XP every second. Best used when you’re trying to unlock extra pet slots. It’s even better than any Brown Mouse, as it can earn you 3,816 experience points every 10 minutes.
Has a chance to bless a nearby fruit with aVerdant mutation(4x value) every 11.51 minutes, though the chance is only 15.95%.
Critters within its radar won’t lose hungerand willgain XP every secondinstead.
Hatch Related
Can greatly reduce your eggs’hatch time(by 45 seconds per minute) and increasehatch speedby 20%.
May return the eggs you hatch while they’re swimming around your plot.
Reclaimer & XP Booster
Mightsave a single useof your Reclaimer andgain some experience pointsper second.
B Tier
When a fruit with theWet or Drenched mutationis stolen, one of its mutations might be applied to a fruit in your garden.
Waters your plants to give them theWet mutation(2x value), or alternatively transforms Wet fruits intoBloodlit(5x value).
Passive Booster
Increases the passive ability of all active critters, improving their traits only if you’ve got a Hot Spring in your plot.
A special pet that helps age all youractive dinosby transferring XP to them.
Has a small chance of giving you theAmber Mutation(10x Value) on harvested fruits and also boosts your walking speed.
Fruit Duplicator
Lets you snag a bonus fruitwhen picking plants. Prehistoric crops have better odds than other rare ones. It’s super useful when harvesting aBone Blossom plant.
Gives 608 XP to3 to 4 random petsso they age quicker or use their traits a bit sooner (like 41 seconds early).
Lets youhatch eggs70.40 seconds faster every 7 minutes, not as good as Blood Kiwi, though.
Speed-Up Pet
Handy for crafting, as it boosts yourcrafting speedby 30.45% for 18.74 seconds every 3.05 minutes.
Good for overallplant and fruitgrowth, but not as effective as the Triceratops.
Cooldown Pet
A critter that can lower another pet’s cooldownby 21.08 secondsevery 7.14 minutes. Sometimes, it might even perform its ability again instantly after one round.
Lucky Harvest
Gives you a better chance to get Lucky Harvest andearn extra seeds and fruitswhen harvesting.
Refunds fruitsevery two minutes when you sell them. The ability lasts for 10 seconds.
Makesleafy plantsgrow faster (Beanstalk, Corn, Pepper, Eggplant, etc.), but there are other crops that aren’t leafy.
Not as strong asRed Giant Ant, but it’s still useful.
Plant Growth & Mutation
Allows yourTropical Plants(Mango, Dragon Fruit, Coconut, Cacao, and Watermelon) to mature quickly and gain a variant with a 1.18% chance.
It comes in handy when crafting often, as it offers a 3.43% chance toreturn materialsto your backpack.
Jump Height & XP Booster
Good for unlocking more pet slots since itages fast(803.74 XP/10 min) and also boostsplayer jump height.
Crop Value Booster
Bamboois a solid money plant, and Panda increases its price even more.
Shares thesame abilitiesasQueen Bee and Tarantula Hawk, but has a weaker ability timer.
Speeds up a random plant’s growth bya full dayevery 10 minutes.
A version of Spotted Deer with lower chances of cloningberry plants.
Waters plantsat different times to speed up growth, but since most crops grow pretty quickly, it mostly helps when you’re short on time or growing slower plants.
A weaker version of Blood Kiwi (helps lowerhatching timeto 20 seconds per minute).
Shares the same abilitiesasBlood Owl and Night Owl,but it’s not that solid.
Helps with plant growth, making itspawn fruitsreal quick (about 1.12 times faster).
C Tier
Reduces the cooldown ofall nearby crittersby 61 seconds every 9.58 minutes.
Makes crops1.5x bigger in size and weight, which increases their value.
ProducesPollinated fruits, but it’s slower than Honey Bee (24.45 minutes).
Works likeEcho Frog, but takes longer to activate its ability.
D Tier
May give you seedsfrom shoveled plants, but the odds are very low. You’rebetter off using a Reclaimerinstead.
Increases acarrot’s selling valueby 1.5x, but carrots aren’t a top money-maker.
Just a regular bunny that eatscarrotsand bumps up their selling value by 1.5x.
