One of the many new images, in particular, has caught the attention of some, as it may possibly allude to a huge story element in the upcoming title.
GTA 6 Image Sparks Worrying Theory
As many fans will be well aware by now,Grand Theft Auto 6’s two main protagonistsare Jason and Lucia. While the game’s first two trailers and dozens of screenshots allude to the pair being involved in a crime-ridden romance, some fans believe something much more sinister is brewing between the two. Over on Reddit, user Sunlightliquid posted a screenshot from the upcoming title, where Jason and Lucia can be seen embracing each other. But what many seem to have missed is Lucia holding a gun behind Jason’s back, something that the user believes could be “rich with symbolism and foreshadowing.”
The user explains that although this could be nothing, Rockstar could be hinting at the theme of “betrayal, hidden intentions, or a duality of love and danger” inGrand Theft Auto 6’s story. Considering the game’s first trailer ends with the pair vowing to trust each other, many initially thought that this was going to be classic Bonnie and Clyde love story, but now fans aren’t so convinced.
Fellow Reddit userVarious_Joke9992says, “[Rockstar] is gonna rip our hearts out with the ending, I think. Betrayal incoming.” While another user,CDaCosta97, pointed out the pair’s character description on Rockstar’s website. Lucia’s notes that she is “committed to her plan - no matter what,” while Jason’s says that “meeting Lucia could be the best or worst thing to ever happen to him.” The descriptions make it clear that Jason is looking for an easy life, while Lucia is letting nobody stop her from getting what she wants.
