Summary

Developer Arrowhead Game Studios has revealed that it is planning to introduce tweaks to how Super Credits are earned inHelldivers 2, stating that the goal of the change is to prevent players from grinding “diff 1-3 for SC.” Arrowhead has not provided specifics about how or when these changes will occur, but also teased upcoming adjustments for several other areas ofHelldivers 2.

Helldivers 2 is constantly evolving thanks to the steady stream of updatesreleased by Arrowhead Game Studios. While the game enjoyed massive success upon release, the developer has had to improve several areas to enhance performance and stability, all while adding new content and features to expand the game’s chaotic experience. The game features a monetization system, where players can pay to obtain Super Credits, which allow them to unlock cosmetics, items, gear, and upgrades from the in-game Warbond system, similar to a battle pass. In addition to spending real money, players can also earn SC during in-game missions, though they are scarce and much more difficult to acquire. Now, Arrowhead is revealing plans to address how this works.

During a conversation onHelldivers’ Discordchannel, one player asked Arrowhead CEO Shams Jorjani if the studio had plans to change howSuper Credits are earned inHelldivers 2. Jorjani responded, stating that the team will “undoubtedly” make tweaks to this area of the game, as Arrowhead wants to provide a better solution for players struggling to earn SC. As Jorjani explained, the studio does not want players to be forced to repeatedly play the easiest difficulty levels (1-3) just to farm Super Credits non-stop.

Helldivers 2 Plans Tweaks to Super Credits and Warbonds Systems

Jorjani did not elaborate on how this would affectHelldivers 2players when farming Super Credits, nor did he specify when these changes would be implemented, as the studio wants to proceed carefully and consult with players before making any changes. Jorjani also mentioned that Arrowhead has a clear vision of not overwhelming players with monetization options and ensuring they can enjoy the game without paying. He admitted, “this was something Arrowhead championed hard.”

Additionally, another player inquired about Warbonds and whether the studio was planning to change their prices. Again, Jorjani did not provide a complete answer but revealed that Warbonds, as well as all systems, might be tweaked sooner or later. In the meantime, players can look forward to new content and changes coming inHelldivers 2’s Masters of Ceremony Premium Warbond, releasing on May 15 for PS5 and PC players.
