This article contains spoilers forHades 2’s early access.
Hades 2just recently passed its one-year milestone in early access. The sequel to Supergiant’s hit game,Hades 2is a very different game in 2025 than when it launched. Early access is a period where players get to try a limited version of the game while the developer still works on it with content updates and bug fixes. Early access is typically smaller than the full release of a game, but much bigger than a demo. Players often purchase the early access version of a game with the full understanding that it’s not finished.
Like most games in early access,Hades 2doesn’t have a complete story nor resolution for any of the characters. It is also missing many of the features that will be included in the full launch, such as final weapon aspects and more mechanics. However, as it currently stands in early access,Hades 2is already several times biggerthan its predecessor, even with major components missing. Supergiant periodically releases smaller patches that fix bugs and glitches, while major updates are released every six months or so. These major updates bring massive content additions toHades 2, open up the world, and bring improvements to the point that it’s unrecognizable from the previous version of the game.
